I'm a big Friends fan as well. Still watch the old eps whenever I can. I actually quite liked Joey (the show) - shame we only had 1 season over here though. It never really got given a chance.
'The Comeback' starring Lisa Kudrow was pretty shit. Gave up after a few episodes, but am looking forward to 'Courtney Cox's new show 'Dirt'. Starts this coming monday in the UK.

My mom loves that show and its bearable most of the time for me. But I'm glad that a good chunk of the actors have moved on to more things.

I was a massive fan of Friends and i own every series.

I do think the programme peaked around series four and was not quite as funny from then on but it was still very entertaining and had some classic moments. The best character was Chandler as he always came out with the best lines and i loved his sarcastic sense of humour.

Joey, the Friends spin off featuring just Matt Le Blanc from the original cast was watchable enough and as expected was nowhere near as good or popular as Friends, the Joey character didnt really work without the other five characters and the new characters he was surrounded by were nowhere near as strong.
I was a little disappointed although not really suprised when Joey was cancelled after two seasons.

^ Fletch has hit the nail on the head. The thing about Friends was, there were no main characters. I mean, one could argue that Ross and Rachel were the main ones, but you could easily argue that they weren't either. In my eyes, they were all equal, and made up the show.

With Joey, they made him the main character, and were unable to give the show enough plot with just him. As a result, they changed his character to become more serious, and settle down with a woman, which really didn't work.

Anyhow, Friends is a truly epic show that I continue to watch over and over on DVD, and will go down as a classic. Though Joey never captured its brilliance, I have seen far worse shows.

I'm a huge Friends fan and still watch it if I'm home when it's on despite the fact I've seen every episode at least twice.

Joey was OK but didn't enjoy it as much as Friends.

Millenials should fuck off and respect one of the best ever comedies. I don't give a shit that they are offended........

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/friends-netflix-sexist-racist-transphobic-problematic-millenials-watch-a8154626.html

They just don't realise that ANYTHING that's funny can offend someone. You can't tell something funny without it picking on something.

I find it just as hard to believe they haven't watched Friends repeats daily through the years on E4 and now Comedy Central and that it being added to Netflix at the end of last year was there first time.

It’s pathetic, every joke in the show was done in a light-hearted designed to not be taken seriously manner, anyone taking offence to anything about Friends needs to lighten up and if they don’t like it simply don’t watch. The article says new viewers are making accusations of homophobia, racism, poking fun at overweight people as well as sexism. It’s sad that people can’t just enjoy the comedy and have to over-analyse everything.

The world has gone crazy with political correctness, I remember watching old episodes of Only Fools and Horses where Del Boy would make references to the Packi shop and other such remarks, the show carried a PG rating but saying anything like that now would have a show cancelled before the episode had even finished and the backlash would be unreal.

That's the problem with shows created in the 80's & 90's.....PC automatically kills them off....such a shame really.

I watched the entire series of Friends with my kids last year on Netflix and we loved it. Second time seeing most of the series for me was I watched it during it's original run.

This time around I kept thinking this show would never work today and probably carry a TV-14 rating now just because of Chandler and Joey. And Chandler and Joey are good guys! Joey is insanely popular with women. A guy who can pull off a good "how you doin?" can still pick up a woman if she has seen Friends before.

Since watching Friends we have moved on to Seinfeld. Now these were terrible people... Yet these are my people. Completely apathetic to social issues just living a normal life and reacting to things in a normal way. But man by today's standards these guys are complete scumbags.

I'm really tired of people complaining about every little thing if you don't like what you see don't watch it but stop forcing censorship on everything.

I swear the millenials of this world are the new right to censor
