So dads boss is a Blunts fan who's got a corporate box for the upcoming season who's been kind enough to give my dad, me and my mate a chance to try it for the 19th August local derby there.
Should be fun as apparently the boss will be the only home fan in the box and the other nine of us enjoying a three course meal, complimentary programme, team sheet, bar etc will be away fans ![]() You get a padded seat on the balcony of your box. That could be interesting should we score and nine of us stand up cheering when home fans are only yards away

Could also turn a bit nasty
![]() We've lost out on signing Matty Green as Lincoln could offer a better pay packet. Flynny still wants 5 new faces and hopes to get them signed and sealed soon.

![]() Not surprised you got outbid by Lincoln. It's a fairly well off good size city who are more than capable of selling out their ground regularly even at division four level. Wouldn't have you down to struggle again this season. Take it from us the last few seasons that if you finish a season on a high there is every chance you will take that happiness and positivity into the following season.

I don't think we'll struggle if we can get a goalscorer in. I will be happy with a mid-table finish this season then build from there. We've now got the right man in charge and with the right blend of players all will be good.

Every team wants a scorer they are hard to find. Even been reports of Man City and Arsenal doing a straight swap between Aguero and Sanchez. Jermain Defoe has only scored 5 in his last 22 matches. He's 35 I think in October and just played his part in a relegation. Yet clubs are put off by him wanting a 8 million quid signing on fee and a three year contract that would put his total package for someone that would then by 38 to TWENTY MILLION!!! Then you have Andre Gray. Playing for a low third premiership club Burnley, only just cracked double figures for goals in his first ever top flight season and he won't sign a new contract because he wants 100,000 a week to quadruple his wage. Football has been shit for years. Love Barnsley, hate Football has been my motto ages now. Couldn't even get upset at our under 21s being shit yesterday.

Well we signed some kid from non league and Frank Nouble...now he's not going to put the ball in the back of the net on a regular basis, but I trust Flynn to pull something out the bag.

Nouble was shocking for us on loan from the Hammers. Surprised that Ipswich bothered to get him but at your level with his higher league experience he might do well. We got Zeki Fryers a full back released by Crystal Palace on saturday and yesterday brought back also on a free transfer Lloyd Isgrove who got us promoted from league one. Both three contracts. All seven brought in so far are three year deals to protect ourselves. Probably still need another half a dozen players but a couple of strikers are high priority. |

Not sure if Isgrove has it in him for the Championship level to be honest. Fryers has been about a bit for such a young lad too

http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/attachments/img_3392-jpg.4896/ Fair to say not many of our fans are going to pay 49 quid to sit in a badly decaying unsafe stand that fook knows how it passes safety tests. Said it before but if another disaster happened in that same stand it wouldn't be a shock and if you've a partner and few kids wanting to go you're paying a few hundred quid for a family night out. When you can get to any premiership game as an away fan for a max of 30 quid it tells the story.
