Bearing in mind the season for some teams start on 2nd July this year (ie West Ham, my team) I thought I'd better start up the new thread

Who do you think will win the Premier League and be relegated?
Who do you think will be promoted?
What are your predictions for your team for the season?

Winners: Chelsea or Man City. They have the money behind them that will probably push them that bit further this summer (especially as Financial Fair Play is irrelevant to them)

Relegated: Watford, Norwich and Villa (or Sunderland). Villa and Sunderland were abysmal and were lucky that there were 3 teams more shit than them this year. Watford don't appear to have stability with their managers and Norwich seem to yo-yo around

Promoted: Ipswich, Derby and Middlesbrough. Thought that Derby were too caught up with McClaren going to Newcastle which affected their few games. Middlesbrough and Ipswich were unlucky not to go up and I think that Brentford had a great season but was just a blip

My Team: West Ham
We were absolutely fantastic up to Xmas and then were taken down more quickly than the Christmas decorations! Our season starts in 29 days with Europa League qualification on 2nd July and are currently without a manager. Big Sam did the job he was brought in to do however he just could not understand the fans and loved provoking us (We are "all deluded and talk bollocks"). We played well with 2 up front however Sam seemed to be intent on playing defensively at home against lesser opposition after Xmas.

As for who will hire as manager, Benitez was the forerunner but then got approached by Real Madrid. Ancelotti and Klopp are both taking breaks and we seem to have been rejected by Emery (according to the Spanish press) and De Boer. We are more likely to hire Billic however I would prefer us to hire Bielsa.

So long as we get the right person in and is given funds to build his team, I think we will finish mid-table with a couple of cup runs. Hopefully The Europa League isn't a poisoned chalice for us

Winners: Man City. Surely they can't fuck it up again with the best squad in the competition.

Relegated:
Norwich - I don't watch their Championship, but based on their sporadic appearances in the top flight over the last decade, they're too inconsistent. Not "great on a good day and average on a bad day" like Arsenal or someone, but "maybe just good enough to stay up on a good day and bad enough to get beat 7-0 by a mid-table side on a bad day" inconsistent.

Bournemouth - Again, I don't watch the Championship, I've got no idea if they're any good, but it's fucking Bournemouth. Come on. Surely not.

Sunderland - Fucking useless, no way they're staying up again. Villa are on the up, Sunderland showed no signs of improving at the back end of the season. Plus I don't like them, so fuck 'em.

Promoted: No idea, don't watch the Championship. Hoping Macclesfield Town make it back to league football though.

My Team: Swansea.

Probably depends what we do in the transfer window really. We need another striker, and given our track record we'll almost certainly find a gem, but past that it's just about bolstering up the squad and making sure we aren't too reliant on one or two players. Nathan Dyer and Gylfi Sigurfvrdvarfretbi are fantastic but I do worry we'll end up focussing on the midfield at the expense of defense tactically.

I'd expect us to finish in the top half of the table, maybe possibly Europe if we play the transfer market exceptionally well but more likely 8/9/10. I expect a good run in the League Cup again though, as usual.

I will go for anyone out of Man United, Man City and Chelsea for the title right now, might put a punt on United, as I have a feeling they will have the longer odds.

Norwich will probably go back down, I will again put Villa there, as I have for the past few seasons, as this was closer than they have ever got, and I don't think they will have the ability to avoid the drop next season.  then it's out of Sunderland/Newcastle, and I'd be tempted to go for the Toon.

Championship am not really too bothered about.

no longer a fan of any particular team, so that's it from me.

Chelsea winners, Man City runners up, Man Utd bronze medal, Arsenal 4th.

Palace, Baggies and Bournemouth down.

Derby, Wolves and 'Boro (playoffs) to come up.

As long as it's entertaining I don't care, plus Newport don't have a team at the moment so yeah that's going well. You're lucky you didn't take Butcher Adders.

I'm sure he will do OK for you. I'm happier than last summer because instead of being unable to sign players until we got high earners like Chris O Grady and Luke Steele off the wage bill, our only championship wages left is fat boy Dale Jennings coming into the last year of his three year deal.

Our team so far for next season will be something like.........

GK: Adam Davies
LB: George Smith
RB:
CB: Mason Holgate
CB:
WG:
WG:
CM: Conor Houriane
CM: Josh Scowen
ST: Sam Winnall
ST:

We have other players to fill gaps but they might be seen more as fringe players. Those Super Six have an average age of about 20-21 years old, all in fans eyes are worth a couple of million each at least and if we start the season with all those six still at the club i'll be bloody delighted.

Dale Jennings had about three good games for us in two years. One was when the fat fuck played none league Chester in the cup. He was given a strict post season programme so pretty sure he wasn't sticking to it. It's a disgrace someone can be so unprofessional yet be paid up by mutural consent. Annoyingly some championship club will probably think they can "change" him so he will end up at an higher level and on more cash.

Marley Watkins should be a good winger. I saw the Scottish Cup final on Sky Sports last saturday so saw him score for Inverness a well taken goal. Daily Record local Scottish rag mentioned he had offers from Aberdeen in their top flight and sides in England in our league and the championship. Pretty certain he could have got better money for a championship team so fairplay to him buying into the dream and plan that he'd have been told of expectations of next season.

Last season we struggled in pre season for reasons i've already mentioned. So far by the first week of June we've signed three back up (Adam Davies, Lewin Nyatanga, George Maris), terminated the contract of Dale Jennings and signed two players (Marc Roberts and Marley Watkins). I can't get used to so much activity so early as it's just not us.

In fairness there does seem to be a lot of teams getting their work down early this post season. I'm annoyed Newport aren't one of them to be honest. We still need a good 7/8 players in through the door grr.

Regarding Jennings, do you think he just had too much too young being whisked off to Bayern an all?
