Finn Balor had a performance for the ages in the Rumble tonight. As soon as he started he match I called him to go the distance. Even though Balor didn't win he made it late to the final four after starting in the first two. And he took it to everyone in the ring with him, outside of a brief time after an attack by Baron Corbin he wasn't just laying around outside, and he got back in the ring from that faster than I thought he would actually.

The Rumble is one of the biggest matches that people keep re-watching years afterwards and a good way to be noticed. Marathons in the Rumble match of the like are remembered, win or not, just like Bob Backlund in 1993 or Shawn Michaels in 2010 (when he was trying to fight Undertaker.) After this Balor has cemented his mark even more than he had before.

Finn Balor put on the performance of a lifetime in the Royal Rumble I quite literally cannot believe how good he was in the rumble and for the time he was in there it just showed how good he truly is, is a world title in his future soon I surely hope so because he is a bonafide main eventer.

Can't fucking believe they had him lose to Cena after that Rumble performance - im hoping he gets another match to qualify for the chamber match

Just seems like WWE still feel like they need to include Cena in every major storyline

Cena winning should never be unbelievable. More like par for the course.

I think the impressive thing was that "Let's go Cena! Cena sucks!" chants weren't all we heard. We actually got "Let's go Balor!"

Any time anyone can get their name chanted when they're in the ring with Cena it's noteworthy because most don't. If you go back through history, the people that got over, BIG were the ones that were able to get into the ring with Cena and not be forgotten in all the Cena chants. "Let's go Cena! CM Punk!" "Yes! Yes! Yes!" "Miz is awesome!" and "Suplex City!" are about the only ones I've heard in 10 years. There are a few others, but I can't think of them right off the bat, so "Let's go Balor!" is a big deal.

I agree with Rico on this one; on both points. I know it's the cool thing to do to say "Cena buried so and so" or "Cena cut somebody's momentum." But the way I see it, the great performance in the match alone greatly aided Balor; just like I mentioned above with his amazing performance in the Rumble. People will remember both; and I am sure Balor will have victories in the near future. And yes, the crowd was with him in this match.

It is at the point now where it is no disgrace to lose to Cena as long as you make the match good (which he certainly did) and don't get outright squashed. Cena is indeed par for the course as Rico said. I just wish Rico would see that HHH in the same way.

His match with cena was great I wouldn't mind them revisiting that at a ppv event maybe Summerslam.

Finn will get his shot he can't win everything and he will probably face off with Miz for the IC title soon enough and that will be a sight to see

Finn is being wasted a bit at the minute because it doesnt look like they have anything for him to do.

IMO he should be in the EC - im hoping he takes the last spot but i have a feeling that may go to Rollins given all the bad luck he has had recently with injuries interrupting all his storylines

Edit: just seen the news about the match regarding the last spot next week - heres to hoping Finn picks up the win

Fatal 4-way next week eh? Sounds good to me. Balor vs Lesnar, and Miz vs Lesnar both sounds good. Would be nice if one of those two were to pan out.

To be honest anyone v Lesnar with exception of Cena or Reigns is appealing to me because we havent really seen that much of it (with exception of Strowman).

The thing with Braun is that he has lost to Lesnar that many times, albeit indirectly, that i really want him to finally get revenge and get that win.

For me, Miz deserves the Mania moment more than most but given he will no doubt be taking some time off soon for Fatherhood i cant see him getting the win, infact i think he will drop the IC title at mania.

Balor v Lesnar would be quality so long as it wasnt a total suplex squash fest
