Now Haku is my kinda guy Rico LOL as long as he is allowed to be Haku and not WWE's version of Meng which sucked ass....WCW's version was decent though.

On another subject altogether Rico, 'mad' Kenny Shamrock was one of my favourite characters of that late 90's attitude era. When he snapped and lost the plot, and twatted anything in front of him, that always made me laugh.

Yeah see? Why wasn't he multi-time WWE champion??? The fact that he wasn't, nor was Dan Severn, yet Lesnar is supposedly untouchable and 'protected' (in booking, as well as physically) just shits all over wrestlers of today. Finn Balor not hitting his stomach stomp from the top rope on Lesnar totally makes sense, I get that, but there's still a ton that Balor can do to beat Lesnar, and I'd be willing to bet he's a much safer wrestler than Rollins, too.

I dont know much about the UFC as Im not a fan and I never will be, but Ken Shamrock was a big name at the time wasnt he. I wish they could have played a bit more on the fact that Shamrock flattened Brett at the end of his Mania win over Austin.

Apart from 'gifting' Ken the King Ring '98 title, what did they ever do with him ? It sucked when he left the company because of poor booking just after Summerslam '99, becuase I thought he had so much to offer still at that stage.

Shamrock was the first big star UFC made in the world of MMA, he beat the fuck out of Royce Gracie, and then lost by cheap blood draws, and then judges decisions. I remember watching those fights and I agree completely with Shamrock that he was basically jobbed out to Gracie because of the money they sunk into UFC in it's early days. Gracie couldn't do shit to Shamrock. Shamrock might not be a Jon Jones, or Anderson Silva (and that's ONLY speculation, I bet he could have beat them), but he was miles ahead of Royce Gracie.

Lesnar will forever be known as the cheater. In the WWE wrestling too long won't do much to ruin your legacy, but in the world of MMA a PED violation will destroy it forever. Whatever Lesnar may have been considered before UFC200, he's nothing but a cheater now.

Shamrock was more than willing to job, and that's the important thing with professional fighters that enter pro-wrestling. There is a stigma that a pro-fighter won't lay down for the 3 because of their pride, Shamrock and Severn both were top notch workers willing to do the job when required, and on that alone could have been great draws.

Now, granted these days the public shits on pro-wrestling and is all about the UFC so Lesnar's star is bigger than Shamrocks or Severns, so that plays into it a lot, but man, Shamrock in particular had charisma and personality. It's really a shame they didn't do more with him.

Like I say Rico, I havent really got an idea about the UFC and who their fighters are, and nor am I interested either. (and this isnt meant as a bad word against you by the way!)
I was briefly involved with a wrestling website in the early 00's and Ken Shamrock was one of the guests. I put forward a number of questions for him and i think they were used, that is my only claim to fame lol.

Nah I get it, it's cool. I look to MMA guys as potential cross-over stars that can bring in big press/ratings for the WWE, and I really wish a woman would jump professions, particularly Ronda Rousey or Meisha Tate or even Gina Carano, but even a guy like Connor McGreggor would be awesome. I keep tabs on what's going on in the MMA world only in the most high level of aspects. I don't watch their PPVs or anything like that. But back when I was a teen I liked MMA a lot more, and Shamrock was the fucking man, and I have always pretty much hated the Gracie family (they're the ones that invented/pioneered Brazillian Jujitsu).

Regardless, Balor really ought to get the win over Lesnar, or if not him then some other smaller indy favorite babyface like Zayn.

Did you ever see the video of when Daniel Bryan was showing Sami Zayn his 'beast-mode' style of wrestling he was playing with as a gimmick for a feud with big monsters like Lesnar? The way Bryan moved made me mark like crazy, it was awesome because he was hopping around on his hands and feet like an animal in a very caveman like manner that made him look like he could have ripped the shit out of a beast like Lesnar.

Well the questions I asked about Ken Shamrock at that time were...

King of the Ring '98 was a great ppv and most of the fans were delighted to see you win it that night. What do you think it did for your career ?
Who came up with the idea of Ryan Shamrock, the character who was meant to be your sister ?
What did you really think of Dan Severn, who was obviously a rival of yours in the UFC ?
What are your post- wrestling career plans. Do you also plan to go into Hollywood and look for an acting career ?

Some of these questions werent used, but most of them were so like I say its one of my WWF claims to fame lol.
