Everyone says he is the GOAT. My question is: is he really the greatest fighter of all time?

I mean, no offense to Fedor's fans, but the guy didn't really have a lot of impact in MMA, except in Pride. But in Pride he faced guys lower his weight. And sometimes he thought guys who had ZERO chances against him (Hong Man Choi, Yuji Nagata).

And off course how can I not put up his complete failure in America. The fact that Dan Henderson beat the living hell out of him, speaks for itself. He had zero impact in United States, in Strikeforce. Taking this into consideretion, does he really deserve to be called the Greatest Fight of All Time?

Not Really.

Much like Tyson was during his peak in boxing, the dude was basically fed fighters who stood NO CHANCE of beating him during his run. He's good, great even, but I don't consider him to be The GOAT.

Nowhere near the GOAT for the reasons posted above.

He only versed a handful of actual fighters and when given the offer to fight Lesnar in the UFC he turned it down which pissed a lot of people off.

If Bigfoot beat him, I can understand why he turned down to fight Brock Lesnar. I mean, Lesnar would have destroyed him

I'm pretty sure the offer was on the table before the BigFoot fight.

In my book Silva, GSP, Hughes and Henderson are all above him

I'm just giving an example. The offer DID was before the Bigfoot fight, but if Bigfoot managed to defeat him, imagine what would Lesnar be capable of doing... Shocked

lol I wouldn't go as far as Sylvia or Gracie Killer but the others have legit claims to being a better fighter.

Fedor is good in his own right but it's like Melendez in Strikeforce, you can fight all the sub standard opponents you wan't but you won't be the #1 P4P. At least in Gil's case, he actually WANTS to fight in the UFC though.
