Tazz is ok, once a good wrestler shame that he doesnt wrestle anymore. Glad he's on ECW though as JBL is a funny man with his comments.

Quote We can report that Jim “J.R.” Ross signed a new contract with World Wrestling Entertainment Monday in Baltimore prior to going on the air for Monday Night Raw. Terms of the agreement were not made public. Ross’ long term WWE contract had expired on October 29 and J.R. had continued to work as the “voice of Monday Night Raw” under the terms of an extension. J.R. joined the WWE in 1993 after beginning his career in 1974 and previously worked in the wrestling business for WCW, Jim Crockett Promotions, UWF, Mid South Wrestling, and Championship Wrestling. Ross has broadcast more major wrestling events than any other broadcaster in the history of the business. We expect J.R. to address his new working relationship with the WWE on this site later in the week unless the avid OU Sooner fan is too busy preparing to attend the OU-OSU Bedlam football game this Saturday afternoon in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Jim Ross on his own website said a while back not to believe the rumours that he's working without a contract. Because they are not true at all. Well i think this story proves that he was lying to the fans to cover his own back. And by not telling people how long the contract is for, he himself is now going to cause more speculation about things. As for Tazz, well i think that situation is very quiet now. Something must be happening soon where he is concerned.

as far as taz is concerned he should bugger off back to smackdown whilst JBL could be the NEW ECWS NO 1 HEEL ANNOUNCER alongside babyface joey(who gets his name from a kangeroo....haha...anyway)

^ nah keep tazz on ecw as ecw is where he belongs. if jbl goes to ecw it would suck for him and for smackdown the brand. hell jbl is probably the only good guy on the mic, the rest absolutely suck except for kennedy and the undertaker.

Quote The feeling backstage is that Jim Ross was only re-signed because there was some fear that he might jump to TNA. Ross signed a one year contract which includes two year company option. Jim Ross' current WWE duties are announcing, doing the talent payroll, and giving written feedback for each TV show.

Are WWE that paranoid ? I doubt it because they would have signed him up anyway. If anyone is WWE till they die than it is without doubt Jim Ross. He's as much WWE as HHH is for my money. I wonder if his written feedback for the shows is as bad as we make it. Afterall being live at shows make them seem better than they are from past experiences. Maybe it is because JR does payroll that made them paranoid. Because if he went to TNA (which would not happen) then he would be able to tell them how much people earn so they know if they can afford them.

Glad JR signed on as he is really needed on Raw, Coach and Styles were shit as Styles has only one good line and that being Oh My God! and thats it, nothing great about that. Coach cant do crap on the mic nor at the announcing part.

WWE needs JR and so does Lawler.

Sucks he resigned though. I'd pay him out of my own pocket if it'd get rid of Mike Tenay from TNA.

IF JR went to TNA then u could expect TNA's ratings to improve a bit better as there is no one that can tell a good story or make a wrestler look good any better than Jim Ross. Tenay is shit at it, sure he knows a bit, but not as much as the Oklahoma Sooner fan.

Quote As noted, Tazz's WWE contract will be expiring soon and he's looking for a raise. Considering that he's on the now low-profile ECW, he might not get one. It is indeed possible that he'll be leaving the company when his contract ends if they can't come to an agreement. Also, Brad Armstrong called a match during last night's ECW broadcast, so if Tazz was to leave, they would have someone in place to replace him.

Looking for a raise why ? When he signed up to the company he actually wrestled and was later part of the B show. So now he doesn't wrestle and is on the C show, he actually has the nerve to think he is worth more ? He is trying to play a game of cat and mouse with Vince for more money. I don't see Vince playing the same back. He might be lucky and be offered the same contract as before. If he does he should seriously accept it, because he would be worthless outside of WWE no offence to him. He doesn't even help with Tough Enough no more which makes his current contract that is running out, even more out of date.

This is a joke. JR calls a wrestling match like a hockey game and has for years. Back in his NWA days he was servicable, but now I 'd rather listen to Tenay of all people. Styles focuses on the match, the moves,is vastly more understated and thus easier to listen to, and doesn't try to overwhelm you with silly bullshit and hype. Catchphrases do NOT make for good announcers nor does running your mouth with inana comments ala Jerry Lawler.
Some drink from the fountain of knowledge, some only gargle
