On thursday 23rd of June the UK get to vote if we are to leave the EU or not in a general election style day where you go to polling stations in the fifteen hours between 7 am and 10 pm.

David Cameron wants us to stay in and hasn't lost any battle yet. Became PM, won second time outright when it wasn't expected and wanted Scotland to in the UK. About time he lost a battle?

It's not good for him that two of his most well known MPs Iain Duncan Smith and Boris Johnson are against him. Yet his opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn is supporting him. Hardly ever see rivals on the same page.

Will definitely be interesting to see how this turns out, I kind of was of the mind that the UK wasn't getting much out of the EU what with not participating in the Euro or in the Schengen.

If the UK lasts more than ten years I'll be stunned. Scotland is gone now, it's just a matter of time. Ireland's pissed. They'll start moving more and more towards the Republic. It'll just be England and Wales left, and even Wales will probably start asking for a lot more devolved policy like Scotland has, even if they don't actually go independent.

States-side, people here have been starting renewed talks about states leaving our union. Texas, Arizona, New Hampshire, and Colorado among them. Don't know if any of it is serious, aside from Texas which has tried to cede from the nation twice already only to get blocked by popular vote the first time and the president the second.

UK's exit from Europe would be an unmitigated disaster and poses a very real threat to world security. The triumph of white nativism in a traditionally leftist Europe is deeply troubling, with far-reaching implications for what could happen here in November. Subsequent glorification of this misguided nationalism can spread across Europe, causing disaffected citizens of other European countries to believe it is right and worthy to deny social services, protection, and basic human decency to people with skins darker than theirs.

This attitude, coupled with a lack of European obligations should more countries decide to leave, would result in refugees being turned away in even larger numbers than they are now. Throw the uninformed militarism and blatant racism of a possible President Trump in the mix, and refugees will be forced to join ISIS or be slaughtered by them. ISIS would grow in strength, size, and influence, and would eventually spark an active yet blundering response from an allied Western coalition taking advice and leadership from an orange madman. Given the tangible might of both sides and the sureness of insane radical convictions, within two years we could be staring down what would likely be World War III.

Just to lighten this heavy subject, I present an article I found on Kayfabe News that explains the whole Brexit vote in terms that wrestling fans can understand.

Originally posted by Kayfabe News Kayfabe News wrote:

Britain has splintered from the European Union in the so-called Brexit — a brand split that will see the main roster of Europe divided, akin to WWE’s upcoming split between Raw and Smackdown.

Here’s a handy primer to help wrestling fans understand an event that Michael Cole has described (accurately, for once) as “history in the making.”

What is Brexit?

It’s a clunky portmanteau of the words “Britain” and “exit,” similar to (but less clever than) JeriShow, ShoMiz, Breezango, and Glamarella.

How did it happen?

Citizens of the Britain voted in a referendum, which is like a WWE App poll, except the result actually matters.

The referendum was called by Prime Minister David Cameron, the Vince McMahon of the United Kingdom. Cameron believed members of the UK Universe would vote for continued tagging with Europe, but it was an XFL-calibre miscalculation.

Cameron was out of touch with with the fanbase, a majority of whom chanted “We want Brex-it (clap-clap-clapclapclap)” and voted in favor of the brand split.

Now what?

It turns out the referendum had a loser-leaves-town stipulation, as Cameron immediately announced his resignation (“I need to find my smile,” he said). Speculation abounds as to whether London Mayor Boris Johnson — the John Laurinaitis of England — will be named the new General Manager of the UK.

The fallout of the EU brand split has been immediate, sending economy into a TNA-like realm of turbulence and uncertainty.

It is believed that many member countries of the European Union — such as Bulgaria (Rusev), Ireland (Sheamus), Poland (Ivan Putski), and Portugal (Aldo Montoya) — may soon fail Economic Wellness Policy tests and be financially future-endeavoured.

While those who voted in favor of the UK brand split (typically jaded smarks who don’t like “today’s product”) believe they were preserving old-school values, many worldwide have labelled the separatists, in the words of Chris Jericho, stupid idiots.

I voted to leave. In my region it was 55-45 so quite convincing which i'm delighted about.

Hopefully other countries follow suit and take back control of their own destiny.

Scotland voting to remain is seriously strange. They want to have more say on their country so had a referendum to leave the UK which failed. Yet they are pissy unelected foreigners from abroad will soon no longer to be able to make them abide by their stupid rules.

I just read a report that said Civil War was coming to the UK. I'd laugh if there wasn't the smallest kernel of doubt in my mind. Things aren't really anywhere near that bad are they?
