His ladder match this past week was the best performance Ive seen from him so far, as hes mostly just worked squash matches up to this point I was reserving judgement on his ring skills until he worked a full match, I don't include his match with Sting as it was a short and untidy mess of a match largely due to Stings sloppy performance.
Anyway he showed skils this week I didn't know he had so it does seem hes the full package, charisma, mic-skils, great look/physique and he can go in the ring, does seem very strange WWE cut him without even giving him a shot on the main roster. |

I listened to ECIII's appearance on the Talk is Jericho podcast and was impressed with his creative mind and his understanding of the business.
He came across as intelligent and articulate and showed no bitterness towards WWE, he was clearly disappointed with how his second stint went there even describing WWE as his dream job but seemed very accepting of what happened and happy that he had now moved on, he did seem very baffled with how they used him there as I think many of us are. He had a lot of good to say about Impact and seems very grateful to them for giving him the opportunity to develop the ECIII character, it seems he only left the first time due to the financial and management issues plaguing the promotion at the time and he was able to part on good terms. He did say he had accomplished everything there at the time and wanted another crack at WWE. Despite the success of the original ECIII gimmick he wants to re-invent himself as a new version of the character inspired by the Covid era. He said he had a lot of things in the pipeline that he couldn't reveal just yet and suggested that he isn't commited to Impact long-term and will work for other wrestling promotions, so perhaps we will see him in AEW after all.

If anyone is interested ECIII finished up with Impact following his Bound for Glory cinematic match with Moose, he was working without a contract there and his return was only a short term thing.
He is now headed to ROH and is expected to be working with them until the end of the year. I think there is a good chance ECIII will be in AEW next year.
