Makes sense to me. Start off Asuka by having her beat a lowly jobber before she moves on to the bigger names of the division.

I don't see it being a long term storyline. It will last until their TLC match and probably be forgotten after.

It's going to be tough for Emma to build up interest when her opponent isn't scheduled for any Raw.

I expect it to be a good match however. Their first match in NXT is one of their highlights of their respective runs in the WWE.

Sadly the NXT on a whole struggle to recreate their NXT magic where it matters most on live TV, in big arenas.

I wonder if Emma will side with someone so she's some hired help in still coming up short.

Emma has for so long said she's responsible for the womens revolution and yet it never goes anywhere and won't here.

Theres no way anything other than Asuka absolutely dominating Emma happens at TLC

People who don't watch NXT will only hear about her unbeaten record and that is what will be used to build her up - having her lose that on her very first match in the main roster would be as big just like having jinder mahal win the WWE title and having him defend it successfully for months .... oh wait

I'm hoping to see Emma, with all she has been talking about get together with Paige once she returns. I hope that is soon too.

The fact is Emma's claim is completely legit. When Emma and Paige tagged together and lost to the Bella twins in 5 minutes, the women's revolution started that night because of the outrage of seeing them lose so quickly.

Emma and Paige got me interested in women's wrestling with their match for the inaugural NXT women's championship. They kept my interest, and the 4 horsewomen just expanded my interest.

Now you've got Asuka who is unquestionably the best women's wrestler WWE has ever signed (suck it Medusa, Lita, Trish, etc.) HOPEFULLY feuding with the two women that started the revolution that brought her to the WWE, and if it were booked like that, the feud could last a good while and it'd be great even if(I mean when) Paige and Emma both lost.

I am hoping they let Asuka/Emma be booked properly and it is a properly competitive match as a squash mach will achieve absolutely nothing.

Agreed. The squash should take place Braun Strowman style on Raw with local talents/NXT off-tv talents like Nooph. Any of the women on the main roster are too valuable to just throw away to a 1-hit KO, however she does deserve to have a few of those thrown her way. The best moments of her build in NXT was when that one funkadactyl chick went to slap her in the face and she grabbed it and leapt into a head scissors takedown and locked her into an armbar in about 2 seconds flat, and when as a matter of posturing she took out some chick with a roundhouse kick to the head just to show Dana Brooke and Emma she wasn't messing around and the two looked cowed as a result.

Taz has said on his show before Asuka was announced for Raw brand that she will lose her debut match and after a comment Graves made when Emma won (which he says would have been fed to him and not his own line) he's even more convinced.

Would be great if it was true because.........

1) Asuka hasn't lost a match. You have the whole story of is the big league too much for her, how will she cope with her first ever lost, how will she react to not winning her PPV debut, have her be really heelish and lay out women out of frustration and it would be a great swerve because few expect it to happen. It also gets the monkey off her back of people wondering all the time who will beat her first, when will it happen etc if you start with a loss and then build another big win streak.

2) Emma says she started the revolution and it's been all words so far.  This win spoiling the debut of someone so highly spoken of would finally be her actions backing her words.

I would love to see a swerve and not only have Asuka get pinned clean but for it to give Emma massive momentum...however...realistically will it really happen?

I hope Taz is wrong - i see no reason why to spoil a record that spans so long immediately just to see how she would cope

Surely it would be better storyline wise for them to have a long(ish) running feud which Emma will eventually get the win in the final match - then focus Asukas next storyline on how she recovers etc

Having her losing and struggling to cope in the big leagues isnt really going to work - im sure they tried to do something similar with Sami Zayn and look how irrelevant he has been for the past 5 year
