* I'm hoping this is changed before he gets back because he would be wasted on Raw.
* I don't see why all the big returns from injuries or those who haven't been around for a while have to be on Raw.
* His better work has always been on Smackdown which is where he should stay.

Agreed. I mean, he's already gotten injured on Smackdown and then returned on Raw before, some six-seven years ago. I don't see why he can't take care of his issues with Jericho on Smackdown first and then get drafted to Raw afterwards, following which Christian could head straight to Smackdown in his head.

Simply put... Edge needs to stay on SmackDown. On SmackDown, Edge is always in or near the top of the card. He's always in the hunt for the world title. Edge, Undertaker and Batista are the three top guys on SD.On Raw... Edge would fall in behind Triple H, HBK, John Cena, Randy Orton... and now Sheamus. That's puts himself somewhere in the top 10.
Moreover... I think SD needs Edge more. Undertaker is getting older and there's no telling how much longer he's sticking around. Batista is also injury-prone (and a bit older than Edge.) Plus Edge seems more likely to work with the younger talent than Batista.

Edge has to move to Raw to tease Y2J and Edge feud. You cant have both on the same brand unless you plan on feuding them right now. I think it makes sense for Edge to go to Raw. because if he returns at the Rumble, then hes set up for a feud with Y2J until Mania. If Edge goes to Raw, theres your Orton feud followed by a path to the title....

i'd agree that, if he's coming back around Mania, but not in time to feud with Jericho at the event, it would make sense to have him on Raw, build a cross-brand feud with Chris, and then, in June/July/whenever it is that the draft happens, have him moved back to SD and run straight into the feud then.
both Chris and Edge have the ability to build a feud without having to actually be in the same ring, they've both highly respected by real fans, so it could work if it has to go. let's face it, WWE have got to have learnt some lessons from the botched rush-job on Bats-Cena for SummerSlam 08.

His whole "Rated R" persona is too watered down as well. He needs a new nickname.

I totally agree, his face turn was very poorly done and poorly received, IMO, and totally ruined his character. He doesnt look in shape at all, its hard to take him as a serious threat when he just looks like the average man on the street now. His spear (while never Goldberg-esque) is nothing more than a weak clothesline to the gut, his whole appeal is crumbling TBH. Its hard to have a 'Rated R' character under PG limitations, which makes it ever more baffling why he hasnt been repackaged with a new gimmick. |

Edge is very limited in the ring & he clearly doesn't take many bumps in the ring anymore mostly just punching & kicking.
I guess Edge is more fragile than we thought I feel another bad injury would predict that he's done for permanently.
I agree Edge needs a new nickname but I don't hear anyone say "Rated R Superstar". He doesn't even seem heelish anymore it's like he's a tweener & mostly face.
Edge hasn't done anything impressive since coming to Raw it's like the guy has gone down hill since he left Smackdown. Everyone clearly know's that Smackdown is best for Edge because he's utilized more. With Edge being so fragile maybe he doesn't want to be in the ring that much which could be another reason for him being on Raw.

WWE has been running ads in the Texas area for a May live event in Lubbock advertising Triple H vs. John Cena vs. Edge with the WWE Championship on the line — a rematch of the main event at Backlash four years ago. Considering that WWE changes plans on a monthly basis — if not weekly basis — it's not a clue as to who will hold the title then, but it does apparently indicate that the current plan is for Edge to return to RAW.
