This is a sad day for the wrestling world! This is a bad day for the Smackdown brand! Eddie Guerrero was one of the few guys on Smackdown that could put on an entertaining match and still give one hell of a promo! Eddie Guerrero will be sorely missed and I don't think the WWE will be the same after this devastating loss!

Rest In Peace Eddie... We all will miss Latino Heat...

I feel really bad that I missed Smackdown this week, no matterr what he did he would always shine. Shows that we really take things way to much for granted. One day it is here, the next it is gone.

R.I.P Eddie, you will be missed.

Quote WWE.com did not give much information on the Eddie Guerrero passing in their report this morning.

We do know that Eddie was in Minneapolis, MN waiting for the RAW and SmackDown! tapings which are being held tonight. Eddie was just 38 years old. According to sources, Eddie had breakfast this morning with Chavo Guerrero and at least one other wrestler. Chavo and Eddie had traveled together for months when both were on SmackDown!. Eddie then returned to his hotel room and when he didn't come back out when he was scheduled, some friends went looking for him and found him dead. We have no other details and do not want to speculate.

Local Minneapolis station WCCO posted the following on their website: (WCCO) Minneapolis World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room in Minneapolis, the organization said Sunday. Guerrero, 38, was found at the Marriott City Center in downtown Minneapolis. He was in town for Sunday night's "WWE Supershow" TV taping at Target Center. Police confirmed Guerrero's death, but are not yet releasing additional information. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner was at the hotel. Guerrero was a featured star on the UPN series "WWE Smackdown!" and the subject of a full-length DVD titled "Cheating Death, Stealing Life." Son of legendary Mexican wrestler Gory Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero has also wrestled with World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling, among other federations. His nephew, Chavo Guerrero, Jr., also wrestles with WWE.

Quote Here are some addition notes on the Eddie Guerrero passing. Facts are still coming in and it's WAY to early to speculate. We'll be updating any information we get this afternoon. This story is obviously going to be picked up by various news outlets so many more details will likely be revealed.

- Eddie arrived in Minneapolis, MN yesterday for tonight's combined TV tapings at the Target Center.

- He was staying at the Marriott City Center hotel in downtown Minneapolis.

- He got an early wake-up call just after 7 a.m. and he didn't answer.

- Chavo Guerrero tried calling the room and also got no answer. The two had been traveling together.

- Several people knocked on his door and the calls went unanswered. Security was then called and they got inside and found Eddie dead on the bathroom floor.

More on this shocking story as we get it.

Quote TNA JOINS THE WRESTLING WORLD IN MOURNING THE PASSING OF EDDIE GUERRERO

On Sunday morning, TNA joined the wrestling world in learning of the unfortunate and untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero.

The mood backstage in Orlando is solemn, as many TNA staff and stars were close with Eddie and worked with him throughout his career.

Everyone in TNA will keep Eddie and his family in our thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come as we say goodbye to a friend...

Quote Eddie Guerrero was found this morning with his toothbrush in his mouth on the bathroom floor. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. The belief among those within WWE is that he had a heart failure. PWTorch.com reports that shortly after Guerrero's body was removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero all visited the hotel room to say their final goodbyes. Many WWE staffers were visibly shaken by this as they left the hotel and headed for the arena.

WWE.com noted the following: Vince McMahon and Chavo Guerrero held a press conference regarding the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero today at 12:45 CT. At this time, the circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. Video of the entire press conference will be made available on WWE.com shortly.

everyone should tape this weeks raw and smackdown tribute shows and never tape over them. i still cannot believe this. classy freddie blassie was a bad death. but at least he was old and had lived his life. eddie left behind a young family who will now be forever without a dad.
