As a ECW live discussion appears to be a lost cause due to several reasons i thought just a random discussion thread was a good idea where thoughts/reviews of the weekly show can be posted as and when people get round to watching it.

This weeks show opened with the announcement that Teddy Long will now once again be Smackdown GM and Tiffany will be his replacement on ECW.
I really cant stand Teddy so this will make my SD experience less enjoyable but im happy to see Tiffany as ECW GM as if nothing else she is sizzling hot. It does make me question if Vince actually gives a shit about ECW though.
T-Lo said to the crowd 'Was Wrestlemania off the hizzle' and got what i can only assume were fed in cheers.

Tiffany was interupted by a suit wearing Jack Swagger before she announced a fatal four way match between Tommy Dreamer, Christian, Finlay and Mark Henry where the guy who gets pinned would be eliminated from the chase for the title - Wouldnt it have made more sense just to have the winner made number one contender?? - This has a very TNA feel to it.

The Colons and Evan Bourne beat Miz/Morrison and Tyson Kidd in a good match, Bourne is being built up nicely since his return but Tyson Kidd is now being jobbed out.

A large percentage of this weeks show consisted of Wrestlemania clips. I had to laugh when the show was starting, Matt Striker actually said this was arguably the greatest Wrestlemania of all time!!

The main event fatal four way was a pretty dull match, Mark Henry was eliminated after taking the predictable weapon shot from Finlay.

Pretty average stuff this week, next week will be more interesting with the first post draft episode of ECW.

Quote WWE taped this week's edition of ECW on Sci-Fi at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

ECW On Sci-Fi: (Airing Tomorrow Night)
* Theodore Long just announced that he's the new General Manager of SmackDown and Tiffany will be replacing him on ECW.

* Mark Henry, Finlay, Christian, & Tommy Dreamer are all trying to get the number one contender slot for Backlash. They will fight in a Fatal Four Way Match tonight.

* Carlito, Primo, & Evan Bourne b. Tyson Kidd, The Miz, & John Morrison w/Natalya Neidhart
- Overall good match. Primo hits the Backstabber on Tyson Kidd and tags Evan Bourne who hits the Shooting Star Press for the win.

* Finlay b. Mark Henry, Christian, & Tommy Dreamer in a Fatal Four Way Match
- Mark Henry is eliminated with a shillelagh to the the head.

* Although Mark Henry lost, he wasn't made to look weak. If anything his manager cost him by distracting the ref.

* Why would Primo have to tag in his partner after he's just hit his finisher? That's just stupid.

* Primo looks weak by being booked as someone who doesn't want to pick up the win for his team.

How many times is Henry going to get hit by that shillagh!!!

Primo tagged in Bourne just so the fans could see the press not needed but its a babyface move for a pop from the fans

From Wrestlemania week........

Quote ECW On Sci-Fi: (Airing Tomorrow)
* Kane & Mark Henry w/Tony Atlas b. Christian & Finlay w/Hornswoggle
- Kane comes out to a surprisingly big pop. A briefcase is hung above the ring. Finlay gets beat down early on. He gets the hot tag to Christian. Mark Henry gives him a World's Strongest Slam to get the win via pinfall. After the match, Henry takes out Kane.

* Nikki Bella w/The Miz & John Morrison b. Brie Bella w/Carlito & Primo Colon
- The Miz & John Morrison distract the referee and Nikki gets the win on her sister via the roll up. Sloppy match. The Miz & John Morrison stare down Carlito & Primo and leave.

This is all that is being taped for this week's ECW.

* Only two matches and one was a womens match. I wasn't holding out much hope. However the Bella Twins seemed pretty good to me.

* I understand they wanted to promote people involved in Wrestlemania, but no Swagger? He's the champion for Gods sake!!! He should have still been on the show.

* Christian is jobbing far too much for the short time he's been back and what was surprising about Kane getting a big pop?

The new ECW (ECWWE as i prefer to call it) has never compared to the  origional in my opinion and I don't think it ever will.
I really think Vince should of changed the name of that particular programme quite a while ago now.

that's a pity they made Striker make that comment about WrestleMania when that is an out and out full blown lie. Mania 25 sucked ass.

Ask WWE. About both the pop being surprising and how they're currently botching Christian's return.

They should get Paul Heyman to be the GM of ECW now, instead of Tiffany...even though we all like a piece of hot ass in power. LOL

Anyway, if they put Paul Heyman back in, ECW is definitely going to get revived...if he can get talent that is actually "extreme". Perfect time to call up guys from Independants, especially since Dreamer is the last of the Originals left.
PG? Oh come on, with Heyman in power, you can expect that rating to sky rocket to M or something.

Not as much as WWE seems to think we do, though. Both in terms of who they push as wrestlers and now this, they still fail to realize that when it comes to wrestling television, we like our pieces of hot ass much better when they're actually capable of doing something other than just be pieces of hot ass.
