Velveteen Dream or Adam Cole will win the new mid card title.

I'd expect EC3 to gradually move towards the main NXT title and then when Black goes to the main roster, EC3 v Drew Mcintyre could be interesting (presuming they keep drew in NXT longer following his injury)

There are alot of people in the mid card ladder match that could easily have a case for being in either the main NXT title picture or pushing to be drafted to the main roster

Hmmm I'm not totally sold on him yet.

His mic work is phenomenal and his ego/cockiness comes across well but his in ring work to me just doesnt look up to that much. Hes put alot of size on and if thats not steroid related then ill eat my laptop  and as a result he looks alot slower and clunky.

Maybe hes just getting used to (again) the WWE style?

Never been a fan. He's got the look that Vince likes though so he should be fine. Seems like a good character, too it just doesn't do much for me.

Love the character, love his charisma and personality, in the ring the jury is still out. My opinion so far is his ring work is passable but he will probably need to be carried in major matches. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he’s yet to have one singles match that wasn’t a short squash in NXT and given his look and ability on the mic it makes me think he was released first time around due to his lack of in ring ability(its worth noting he would regularly get ‘’You can’t wrestle!!’’ chants in TNA which he would play up to beautifully, his crowd working skills are excellent), pretty sure he’s made progress since then and of course he’s established the ECIII gimmick.

As for claims of steroid use based on how he looks I can understand that assumption but WWE have a strict drug testing policy so he won’t be around long if he is using gear.

I think Alistair Black vs ECIII could headline the Summerslam Takeover.

The damage is already done though in that respect - hes probably been on gear for a while before joining WWE and now he's there, yes he will lose some size but he wont lose it all if he keeps his calories high and trains as most Superstars train these days.

Black v EC3 would certainly be entertaining but fo rme id much prefer Black v Gargano or another Black v Dream feud because EC3 just doesnt cut it in the ring (for NXT type matches)

They may fast track him to the main roster as his ring style is more suited to the standard WWE style than NXT.

However the fact he’s not quite up to par in the ring could actually be a heat seeking device for him in NXT, he could use it to work the crowd like he did in TNA.

That's a fair assessment, I think. He's probably another Elias just waiting to happen in so much that he may not work out well in NXT, but he might be a real star on Raw or SmackDown.

Fast tracking him to the main roster could be a very good idea.

What would be nice is if there were a good manager like what Heenan and Heyman used to be where they knew exactly what it takes to get somewhere in the business and they could take you under their wing while you try and figure shit out. Basically NXT for people like Ronda Rousey and AJ Styles who are too big of names to be in NXT and need to be on the main roster right from the start.

It's more than just needing a mouthpiece, it's also about needing the same kind of training NXT gives you, whether it's promo class, the exercising, and tumbling, and then the ring work and psychology, and justing the book-smarts side of what the "WWE Style" is all about.

I've said this many times that they need managers. Just a couple of guys that could do one on one for someone what the performance center does but for people who have to be on the road on the main roster and from guys who are willing to go on the road.

I mean Bobby Heenan, had he never had his issues with cancer, I think would have made a fantastic "coach" in NXT and a far better teacher for promo class than even Dusty Rhodes was. But he did all that same kind of crap on the road, with guys new to the WWE, and made himself even more famous with the fans because of all the promos he cut as the figurehead for all these other wrestlers.

What about HBK? I'm assuming he doesn't want to go on the road anymore, but if he was up for it imagine what a stable he could put together these days! I was really hoping this was why Paul Ellering was back managing again.
