Drew McIntyre & Goldberg Storyline

   Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee had an excellent title match on Raw tonight, after which, Goldberg's music hit and out he came. He then challenged McIntyre to a title match at the Royal Rumble, which I assume will happen.
This genuinely surprised me. I had a feeling that Goldberg would be coming in, but to be in the Rumble, where he would win it, and then have the WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns.

Now I don't see Goldberg winning this. McIntyre is clearly the guy right now and I foresee him being champion for the next long while and I also think that he'll definitely be able to get a match out of him that isn't terrible.

	It's interesting to me that they've decided to go with Drew vs Goldberg rather than Roman/Goldberg, unless the plan is to use this to set up Goldberg vs Reigns, I really hope not because the only way to do that would be for Drew to be the sacrificial lamb here by doing the job for Goldberg and that would be even more horrible than the damage that was done to The Fiend last year when he had to lose to Goldberg in a quick squash just so they could transition the title on to Goldberg for a match that didnt even happen in the end. There are so many obvious flaws with doing Roman vs Goldberg now, for starters Goldberg lacks credibility as a threat to Reigns, he lost the title at Wrestlemania in a short match to Braun Strowman, just recently Roman destroyed Strowman in a match for the title so that almost makes Reigns vs Goldberg a mismatch now. The other factor is there is a ton of negativity towards Goldberg for the way his win over The Fiend was booked as well as the horrible matches hes had with the likes of The Undertaker and the very phoned in squash match loss to Strowman. So maybe WWE felt Goldberg would be booed against Reigns who has a ton of red hot heel momentum right now. There did seem to be a bit of heelishness about Goldbergs promo on Raw, maybe they are going the route of having Goldberg be more of a heel/tweener character and this will allow Drew to bash him in promos for being past his prime, he can even bring up his weak performances in his recent matches and how he cant get it done in the ring anymore? If they go in this direction and McIntyre goes over strong in the match then I have no problem with it, but if the plan is for a Goldberg win and another title reign that will be just awful.

	Drew to drop the title to Goldberg at Royal Rumble only for The Miz to come down to successfully cash in I would absolutely pop for that going from being angry at Drew having to put over an old man, to a few minutes later The Miz as the new champion to write Goldberg straight back off TV. That one moment would be worth sitting through the Mcintyre/Billy match.

	I can kind of understand why they decided on Goldberg for Drew's match, this and the other title match make it that the royal rumble will have a lot of top stars in there and it makes it even more important on who eventually dethrones mctinyre and reigns. As for the match itself I see it being a series of spears and claymores in a quick 5 minute match if that.
