Thanks... just to be clear though I think even with a probational citizenship, they should be able to vote, get insurance, and get an above the table paycheck so they can work their way up. The only thing that goes away are the extra taxes and the risk of deportation if they get in any kind of trouble with the law.

Also I think it should be a lot easier to become a US citizen in general. None of this bullshit about taking 2 years just to vet someone. Dude, I don't care if we're letting a small amount terrorists into our country. Just do a cursory check to make sure they're not someone of importance, and then let them in with a provisionary citizenship, wherein the difference between probational and provisionary is that less taxes are laid upon the provisionary citizens, and they're free to seek their own housing rather than being forced to stay in a camp until their paperwork is complete.

Becoming a citizen shouldn't take more than a few days, weeks a the very most. I've got friends who have had husbands and wives wait as much as 3 years before becoming US citizens and that seems to be pretty normal. One guy I know from South Africa took 15 years to complete all the paperwork. I've known him since 2002, right after he moved to the US. He had been in an online, long distance relationship with a girl friend of mine, and just last year he finally became an official citizen, even after having been married to my friend for 8 years. That's simply unacceptable.

As far as Donald Trump is concerned. His motivations seem more economically inclined rather than anything else, and I'm fine with that, but I'd much rather him focus on just streamlining the process of immigration and making it more accessible to immigrants rather than freaking the fuck out over the impact on the economy or whether or not 0.001% of them might be terrorists. If any of them truly are terrorists, the likelihood is that the police will find them before too much goes wrong. They'll get caught in drugs, or weapons charges, they'll find out they're still on a provisionary citizenship and get it revoked, deported and denied re-entry. Of course there is a risk, but then we take a much bigger risk stepping outside our front door every day and take that risk for granted.

Except that is is a warzone Addy. As are El Salvador and Honduras. Also to the point above there is a process but it's a difficult and costly one....unless you're from Canada.

Non-Citizens can't vote let's get that out of the way right now.

We don't need a wall. You put a wall up they'll just go over it or under it.

I hope that everyone enjoys the price of fruit and wine right now because when the illegal migrant workers stop coming then farmers and wineries (one of which is a staple of the American economy) are going to have to pay decent wages to actual employees and that'll cause further inflation of fruits, vegetables, wine etc.

Lastly the problem the plagues America is lazy Americans. This shows that 48% of welfare and food stamps are from Black and White Americans. As for Medicaid, the numbers show  43 percent were white, 18 percent black, and 30 percent Hispanic. Of 43 million food stamp recipients that year, 36.2 percent were white, 25.6 percent black, 17.2 percent Hispanic and 15.5 percent unknown

Non-Citizens no, but illegal immigrants do. I've seen it with my own eyes.

I agree with don't need a wall, but that seems to be what those who are so concerned about illegal immigration want, so this is a better way to do it than with tariffs, etc.

Who cares? Better to not take advantage of others, and deal with the consequences of not being a predator, than to continue being a piece of shit and taking advantage of people who have to worry about getting deported if they fart in the wrong direction.

So the four days Trump spent over here.......

Apparently cost 30 million pounds for the British pomp, security and brown nosing we gave him. An absolute bargain for the tens of billions pounds of trade he will give us post Brexit.

I found the picture of him stood with the Queen with a cheesy grin on his face hillarious. He looked like a teenager around his crush.

The protests were stupid. Trump doesn't give a shit about them, they make no difference, the Trump baby was as childish as the president and those protesting putting a big strain on police budgets will be the same people moaning quite rightly about Tory cuts to emergency services. Just ignore him so he can't revel in being nortorious.

Looking forward to an hour of him talking to Piers Morgan on ITV tonight. Inside The Embassy was a good three parter just finished on channel 4. Especially how post Brexit USA want to get around the EU ban of their under par food produce such as protein, fruit and veg that's currently banned here.
