I think he's just blown what chance he had of becoming the next president with his Muslim borders comment. He was brave enough to say what many are too frightened to say in the PC brigade for fear of being called a racist, but he shouldn't have singled out just the one group.

He should have said that regardless of nationality or faith that he'd make sure background checks were done on all entering USA as terrorists can come from absolutely anywhere.

He's going to still get alot of support from the deep south states still stuck in the racist 1950s and others love him for using his own billions for his campaign instead of begging for donors.

They are. Half the reason immigrating is such a ridiculously long and complicated process is because authorities want to be a million percent certain you're not an awful human being before they let you in to the country. Even the UK does this to non-EU immigrants - most British immigrant terrorists are people who got to the UK young and were radicalised while living there. Trump is just a racist.

At this point I'm 99% certain that if he wins the nomination he'll turn around and say "What the fuck Republicans, I was joking. Shit." There's no way he can be serious - if he genuinely believed everything he said, he wouldn't have said it in the first place because he must know it's political suicide. Maybe going too far with the Muslim thing was just a miscalculation, but he's also talked shit about Israel and stereotyped Jews, which will kill you with Republicans, and called everybody in Iowa morons after Ben Carson overtook him briefly in polls there. There's absolutely no way this man is serious in his endeavours.

Trump is just a twunt. Even more so after what he's said about the UK. Trump winning in America would be like Farage winning here.

I wish Ron Paul was about 30 years younger. Rand is... Well he is not his dad, but Ron knew exactly what was going on and what to do, except how to get elected.

I hope Ben Carson can get back into it, because if our choices narrow down to Trump, Hillary, or Sanders we're seriously fucked. Ben isn't in any way ideal but comparatively speaking he is George fucking Washington.

This country is just going to get worse...

He's gone and called Katie Hopkins a respected journalist and that UK has a Muslim problem. Apart from those two comments he's having an alright day so far.

I wasn't even aware until earlier that he once complimented his daughters body and said he would probably date her if he wasn't related to her.

I was adament I was having my leg pulled and couldn't believe Google backed it as true Ouch

Sadly, I agree.

And at first I honestly started to think Trump's ideas were looking good because he was defying SJW narratives and calling out problems that the establishment left refused to admit were problems. But then I had a closer look at the implications of what he was actually putting forward as solutions and yeah, he's totally another wannabe fuhrer.

I agree with you about Carson, though. I hope he gets through and picks Rand as his VP, but with the media pushing Trump the way they are while making it look like they're against him, it's looking pretty doubtful. I'd say Ron also, but I think the US establishment media is pretty much hell bent on making him look as obscure as possible so he doesn't get over enough in the mainstream zeitgeist to win a Pres ballot. Rand has ingratiated himself well enough to a side of the system that he's been able to avoid that.

Ben Carson? What the fuck guys?

"Egyptian pyramids were grain silos"
"Literally everything the Bible says is true (and everything that implies)"
"I stabbed a guy in my youth because I was such a dangerous badass [and also I'm totally lying to appeal to racist white people]"
"Angels made me pass my college exams"
"China is heavily involved in Syria"
"If I was a victim of a mass shooting, I'd just run at the guy doing the shooting, and get everybody else to do the same. That would totally work, and I don't know why victims of mass shootings haven't done this before"
From his own advisors - "We've tried schooling him on foreign policy, but none of it sinks in"

Ben Carson is easily the second worst candidate behind Trump, except I'm still certain Trump is having a laugh. The guy is an absolute moron. I would legitimately prefer Ted Cruz over him. Cruz is a slimy, disingenuous piece of shit, but I'm also fairly certain he'd be the most ineffective president in the history of the United States. Ben Carson is a legitimately dangerous human being.

Nah, that is just the media going nuts with him and blowing everything out of proportion. They did a smear job on him where they would make radical claims about him he would go into depth about proving them wrong, and they'd level a new claim and his argument would be disregarded in the wake of the new claim.

The US has a system of smearing people akin to WWE's documentaries on Warrior and Jake.

Ben's still far from good but I really don't want to live in a country run by either Bernie or Hillary. Trump is a fucktard, but he ought to at least improve the economy... Maybe... So yeah, by comparison Carson looks damned good.

Cruz wouldn't bother me I don't think. I just wish we could pick from normal people for once. Bush/Gore was the last election I was old enough to vote in where neither guy appeared (at the time) to be completely retarded. Joke was on us though as both of them were complete retards.

Anyway you look at it though it is like trying to decide which testicle you want crushed with a hammer.

Yeah, there's clearly a smear campaign going against him, but sometimes that shit is warranted. He still actually said those things, and even if there was another context involved that the media chose not to show, some of those things are not ok in any context. His advisors aren't running smear campaigns against him, and they've still made it clear his foreign policy knowledge is shocking.

Honestly, I don't really think it matters who wins, from either side. If they're nowhere near the centre, like Sanders or Trump or Carson, they won't get anything they want done because Congress will block it. If they are closer to the centre, like Clinton or Rubio or even Cruz, it'll just be the status quo and nothing will change anyway.

At this point the USA needs a major cultural shift, and a major overhaul of it's political system, for any real change to be enacted. I'm talking constitutional amendments, riots, cities burning to the ground, before any fundamental changes are made. People are too disengaged from low-level politics. A significant portion of people can't name their congressman, or both of their senators, but they'll still vote in presidential elections thinking it matters when Congress never gets anything done anyway.

A revolution is what we need but no one, me included wants to revolt, their shit pisses me off, but I'm not willing to go to war yet. Hillary or Bernie would really test that though.
