I'm a longtime Ziggler mark. Like, he can pretty much do no wrong in my eyes. Takes a shit storyline like being Vickie Guerrero boyfriend and making that storyline good(not great, but good). As a face, he's the PERFECT sympathetic baby face; his story makes you wanna cheer for him. He puts on great matches. Period. He oversells moves at times, but I'd rather have that than the guys that don't sell.

Ziggler, as a heel, working with Crewes now is perfect for both: keeps Ziggler somewhat relevant while helping Crewes get established. I'm not a Crewes guy. At all. He has yet to give me a reason to care about him. He's just a typical "im just happy to be here" smiling baby face. Ziggler will make Crewes get over.

The #Heel persona needs to come back, as long as he's the showoff total dick to everyone that got him over in the first place I'm happy. He used to be one of my favorites, then he just kept slipping and it seemed like he was never gonna make it, now? I hope he makes it once and for all to the main event. The crowd seemed to love his heel turn, I noticed he got more of a babyface pop for that heel turn than he ever did since he was the sole survivor at Survivor Series when Sting debuted.

The showoff is his best character hands down. a return to that could be the thing he needs to get the push he deserves as his character is noticable in that role

Ziggler is decent in both heel and face roles which is a credit to how versatile he is. I agree with the majority that his show-off heel character is my preferred version of Dolph but he is also good at the sympathetic face as proved in his recent match with The Miz with his career at stake, he had me gripped with his match rooting for him to beat Miz.

I really hope this heel turn is what he needs to shoot back up the card at long last, would also be good if this could help elevate Apollo Crews who has been on a rapid slide down the card for ages now. Ziggler should win this feud but some strong in ring showings from Apollo could enhance his status in WWE. Crews is a gifted talent but the smiling babyface thing is just so generic and bland, as someone else said he just comes across as a guy just really thankful to be part of the WWE roster but with no clue as to how to really connect with the audience or improve his all round act.

i'd like to see him as an angry heel going forward, but that will have lost some steam now with him not challenging for even the IC title, let alone the WWE title.

he needs to progress, so I'd be against a return to the show off persona at this time. he should be constantly saying about missing opportunities and/or being screwed over, as all good heels do, use the truth to get the heat.

genuinely don't believe Crews should be the guy he's facing off against, there are plenty of talents on SD that could be used to elevate Crews, and while Ziggler is probably the best, it's just a waste at this time.

It was obvious Dolph was going to beatdown the hometown legend, but just one kick then stop? I was expecting for proper heel heat to hand him a Jim Ross beatdown.

Loved the realness of the promo to bring up how Lawler nearly died the last time Dolph got physical with him.

Nice touch having JBL leave the announce desk to show some concern.

JBL slipping after leaving the announce table was the best bit of the segment. I thought it was too below the belt for a family show but that's just me. I know Lawler would have been ok with it all and all the doctors would have cleared him to take the hit, it just didn't work for me. They should have had Apollo or Kalisto chase him off after the kick too.

Actually I much prefer the one shot and gone approach. That's all you need, after a while you're just left wondering why these beatdowns don't end with the person taking the shots as a bloody mess, and if they're not, how come the guy delivering the beatdown sucks that badly that he can't draw blood.

In a wrestling match there are rules, and those rules forbid many moves that would draw blood, but in a brawl where things supposedly go awry during an interview and the wrestler is attacking a helpless old man, not seeing blood would be a bad thing if it were to go on a long time.

This gets the message across and I don't think it was a mistake in the least to see Ziggler superkick Jerry right in the chest and not the face.

Sometimes less is more.

I may be in the minority, but I really liked that segment. I can understand why people would find the heart attack but distasteful, but that's the whole point of heels. They're supposed to do truly despicable things and this was the perfect way to get some heat on Dolph, as he had still been cheered. So really, bringing up the heart attack, I thought it was necessary. How is one supposed to get over as a heel if he/she can't draw heat? And to top it off, you had one of the greatest heels of all time in Jerry "The King" Lawler putting over Dolph Ziggler as a heel has done wonders for his career and it did that again last night.

Until Ziggler starts winning...and I mean going on a pretty rampant streak...I don't think anybody is going to care. They won't love him or hate him.
