the mini feud with Cesaro was fun, the feud with Wyatt should hopefully be very good.

Bray needed that rebuild, and will hopefully be allowed to dominate a good amount of the feud.

Quote According to sources, the decision for Wyatt to cleanly beat Ambrose was seen as “shocking” backstage by some. Some saw it as a sign that Dean Ambrose could be on the cusp of a heel turn. Others believe it is merely WWE trying to make Wyatt look like a strong threat to The Undertaker at WrestleMania, and the clean win was a sign that The Undertaker is returning for the match.

Would be surprised to see Ambrose turn, he's proved effective and popular in his crazy babyface character, he's apparently shifting a fair amount of merchandise as well and while I don't see Ambrose ever being the top guy he still has plenty of mileage as a face and is well suited to a high mid-card/occasional main event spot. He's also a good foil for Cena and also Roman Reigns who is still not established as a top guy when WWE need a fresh face in the top tier of the card.

I have no doubt that Ambrose will one day turn heel but for now I would say keep him babyface, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Again, agreed, Fletch.

Turning Ambrose heel, apart from me not knowing how they could do it convincingly at this stage, would probably kill his momentum.

Besides that, he´s the lunatic fringe anyways, he´ll get in everyones face anyways.

Ambrose could tell John Cena the only way to beat his opponent at WrestleMania is to brave a room full to snakes, and then lock him inside?

At least as a heel the announcers won't pretend that the terrible things he does now (that are worse than most of the things the heels do) aren't actually cool and badass because he's doing it to unpopular people.

I fucking hate his character, so much. It's not a face character. Not in the current WWE environment, anyway. I could buy it in TNA or the indies where heels aren't treated like the new Hitler for some schoolyard taunts and the occasional cheap shot, but not in WWE. I get why he's a face, and for the WWE's benefit he should probably stay that way because they're short on top faces at the moment, but I would probably enjoy him as a heel so I'd be thrilled if he turned.

I agree with you, he's better suited and would be more entertaining as a heel and longterm I think that will be the role that will really establish him near the top of the card. But for now with a lack of top faces behind Cena and question marks over the fitness of Daniel Bryan I think it will be smart to keep Ambrose face, he's over and making money, the only reason I would switch him heel now would be if they have a high profile feud planned for him with a top face, similar to when they switched CM Punk heel when he was hot as a face because they needed him to feud with The Rock.

Bryan looked pretty good last night in his fight with Kane, but then, it was Kane, Kane can make just about anyone look good.

TBH, Raven, I'm not seeing what you're talking about. To begin with I didn't even know WHAT you were talking about, but at least the last few weeks I haven't really seen him do much in the way of heelish tactics to anyone, unless it was Bray Wyatt, and since that's a heated rivalry it doesn't bother me too much.

Randy Savage was never the cool heel that was booked face like Austin was (when they were both in the WWE, Savage got that way in WCW), but he frequently ignored the rules, and so did Hulk Hogan at the height of Hulkamania and the cartoon era. Dean Ambrose reminds me more of them than he does of Austin as far as his behavior is concerned.

I was watching Ambrose closely last night for exactly the kinds of things you described, and to me it seemed more like he just had a disregard for authority than he does any kind of mean-streak, or heelish tactics.

Ambrose was fun in his skits, they've got his niche there at the moment so lets just hope they don't blow it up big time too quickly.

It is a heated rivalry, but that doesn't mean they don't act like whenever Bray Wyatt does something bad to him he's the worst person ever. Why is Dean Ambrose the face in this feud? The guy the announcers support? Why is Wyatt the heel? I get Wyatt started it but we're well past that now. It's just two crazy guys who want to beat the shit out of each other, but Ambrose is magically the face and the one in the right because he's doing it to people we're not supposed to like. I'm all for cool faces, crazy faces, badass faces, whatever, but Dean Ambrose is a clear heel character (it's barely changed since his time in the Shield as a heel), who is apparently a face just because.

It makes the clear heel/face system that WWE works with basically redundant. As I said, in a company like TNA, or in the indies, I can deal with that. The lines are more blurred there and ability to entertain dictates the heel/face dichotomy as much as character. This is not the case in WWE. I can't take any other character in WWE seriously as a heel or face, because Dean Ambrose makes them all look fucking stupid.

Ambrose seems more of an Anti Hero, kind of Stone Coldesq in his looks out for himself attitude. Where as Wyatt has built up a persona of Using others to suit his own needs when he had the Family at his side (speaking of which I think he needs some more followers) and is generally a creepier character.
Y'know what?....It's really fucking hot here in Africa. Who knew?....Well me, I have been doing this for almost 5 years
