Quote The Miz comes out to host Miz TV. R-Truth and Carmella immediately come out to interrupt him, and they have a dance break on the stage. They finish dancing, and then they leave. The Miz continues now and welcomes everyone to Miz TV. The Miz introduces his guest tonight - WWE Champion, "the new" Daniel Bryan. Bryan steps in the ring and sits down next to Miz. Miz says Bryan still looks like the old Daniel Bryan, but something is different about him - his eyes are open and he realizes there's no point to a virtuous win - there's only winning a losing. Miz says Bryan realizes he was right all along. Bryan picks up his mic and starts talking about "the old" Daniel Bryan wasn't very smart since he catered to the opinions of the fans. Bryan says he doesn't care about these people anymore, and he's letting his dreams take control. Bryan says he doesn't have enough intellectual peers in WWE - Miz included - but Bryan can read books and consult the great minds of history. The fans chant "what," and Bryan says they're chanting something stupid from 20 years ago. Bryan says the fans are all sheep. Miz says Bryan took his advice and did whatever it took to win. Bryan says Miz is dancing around the issue and not getting to the point - Bryan says he kicked AJ Styles in the groin. But that was only one match on one day, and these fans ruin the earth with their needless consumption, and he talks about water bottles and people hurting the environment. Miz says he didn't bring Bryan here to talk about methane gas and water bottles. Miz says Bryan painted him as the bad guy for eight years, but Miz saw through him the whole time. Miz says he wants Bryan to answer a simple question: Is he WWE Champion because he listened to what Miz said? Bryan says yes, then he says no. Bryan says it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the old Daniel Bryan is dead and the yes movement is dead. Bryan says the only thing that matters is that this is your new WWE Champion - the new Daniel Bryan. AJ Styles comes out to interrupt. AJ steps in the ring, and Bryan shoves Miz into him then slides out of the ring. AJ chases Bryan out to the ringside, then back into the ring. AJ gets his hands on Bryan, but then Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on him. Bryan watches from ringside then heads up the ramp.

So he's stollen CM Punk's straight edge gimmick but instead of booze and drugs it's about the environment, which is totally relevant more than ever because we are ruining our planet.

He looked the part in a t shirt with a tree on, grandad top and bland grey animal product free trainers.

E should legit get him involved in environmental work where we see him in different places acting all babyface because he's around his own type of people. But when on Smackdown going on about all the great work he does in a heelish way.

I'm glad they've gone this route for him, it makes him more hatable than ever. He's always been an interesting one to me. I can't fucking stand Bryan Danielson. He is such a holier than thou douche. Yet for all that, I have to give him credit where it's due, he has an amazing mind for pro-wrestling, and he's mastered almost all aspects of it now. He used to be pretty weak on the mic, but with this most recent heel turn, he has shown he's as good as you could expect any wrestler to be.

Not seen Smackdown yet but this is smart, the CM Punk straight edge heel character was excellent and a heat magnet so giving Bryan a similar gimmick that is not too far removed from his real life character is a great move and a role Bryan will be comfortable and effective in.

Bryan with his look and sometimes annoying personality is perfect for being a heel, he’s much better at this than he ever was as the bland white meat babyface.

Double post but all caught up with the weeks wrestling now.

Loved his new heel persona, as said he’s basically the CM Punk straight edge gimmick except his emphasis is on the environment and the vegan lifestyle rather than drugs and alcohol, this was easily the most entertaining Daniel Bryan has been in a long time.

AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan in a babyface vs heel scenario has the potential to deliver show stealing matches every time, looking forward to this feud.

All the heels are such good people right now. Bryan just has to be himself and people hate him; standard.

Himself cranked up. We can all piss people off if we hammer home our beliefs enough. For example Barnsley were very unlucky to go behind before winning at Fleetwood LOL

He was even better on commentary for the main event when his daughter was brought up and how he answered what was asked about her.

His views are actually factual despite him being a heel. What he said about plastic consumption isn't wrong.

I have to admit , I like this version of Daniel Bryan. WWE has turned several stars as of late either true to the fact of their isn't enough heels or needing new faces to try to take the place of Reigns. I've liked pretty much every move they've done with the exception of Brock and Braun. I took a hiatus from watching for a month or so and now only watch causally. Opening up both RAW and Smakdown with 30 minutes of women's talking and wrestling is a snooze for me. I hope they leave Bryan "heel", if there is such a thing , and let him speak hateful truths about people and things going on. None were ever more true than a 20 year old What? chant that fans can't let go because the fans can't come up with anything original other than - what, you deserve it or you still got it. One other, with out KO, it's been much better without a over weight guy doing flips and calling it wrestling. His mid skills are great but his wrestling skills suck.

Quote WWE Champion Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring, and he's got a mic. Bryan says he wants to apologize for calling the fans sheep last week, because sheep don't deserve to be compared to the fans. Bryan says the fans are destroying the earth with their mindless consumption. He says the fans are more like parasites than sheep. He says the fans have to stop living vicariously through the old Daniel Bryan, because the old Daniel Bryan is dead. Bryan says the fans have moved on from him to AJ Styles now, but he's going to crush AJ on Sunday. Bryan says the people of Las Vegas are ignorant, but then Mustafa Ali comes out to interrupt. Ali introduces himself on the mic from the ramp, but Bryan cuts him off and says he knows who he is. Bryan tells Ali to come up in the ring and talks to him. Bryan says they don't need to have this match tonight, then he trashes the fans some more. Ali asks what happened to Bryan, and talks about Bryan inspiring him and looking up to Bryan. Ali says the old Daniel Bryan would want a fight, and that's what Ali wants now. Bryan asks Ali what car he drives, and Ali says he drives an SUV. Bryan says Ali is a small man and doesn't need an SUV, then he slaps Ali across the face twice. Bryan goes to hit Ali a third time, but Ali blocks it and throws Bryan out to the apron. Ali dropkicks Bryan from the apron down to the floor, then Ali hits a dive off the top rope down onto Bryan on the floor.

- Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali: This one is a non-Title match. The opening bell sounds and Bryan takes Ali down with a knee to the body, then he follows up with more strikes. Bryan follows up with some knee drops, then he fish-hooks Ali until the ref calls him off. More strikes from Bryan, then he starts working over Ali's left knee. Bryan hits the Yes Kicks, but Ali ducks one and fires back with some kicks of his own. Ali hits a superkick to the back of Bryan's head for a two count, then Bryan rolls outside for a breather. Ali hits a baseball slide kick, then he looks for a suicide dive but Bryan dodges it and throws Ali into the ring post. Back in the ring, they fight up to the top turnbuckle and Ali hits the super spanish fly for a two count. Bryan fights back and applies the Yes Lock, but Ali reaches the rope to break the hold. Bryan ties Ali upside down in the corner and lays into her with kicks. Bryan takes Ali up top for a back suplex, but Ali lands on his feet. Bryan misses a running knee attempt in the corner, and Ali fires back with right hands. Ali hits a tornado DDT for a two count. Ali goes up top for the 450 splash but Bryan rolls out of the way. Bryan pulls Ali's legs around the ring post and repeatedly slams his knee into the post. Back in the ring, Bryan continues to work over Ali's knee. Bryan applies a heel hook and Ali taps out.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

He's got to love the Hogan booking. Hulk when he was champion would regularly open shows so he could get home earlier by not having to hang around for the rest of it.

Loved him saying sorry to sheep for refering to the fans as them the week before LOL

That match was good and I wouldn't be against more segments between him and Ali in the coming weeks.

I'm still hoping guys like AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Rey Mysterio, and a couple others get put into the 205 Live roster full time as a way to get the division over and bringing the cruiserweight division back to the main roster shows.
