The WWE is under great scrutiny as a massive corporation with various stake/stockholders to answer too. Their medical examinations are stringent, even more so since the NFL concussion lawsuit and Chris Nowinski turning his head towards wrestling's seedy history with head injuries.

WWE letting a guy wrestle who they've previously said is not cleared because it's unsafe would lead to questions being asked that they would feel uncomfortable answering.

ROH and the indies in general aren't subject to the media attention so can therefore get away with murder, (or assisting manslaughter if Bryan died through an accumalative brain damage type injury) and can put him back in the ring for a cheap pop again. Afterall, if Bryan got cabbaged in a few years nobody would blame them, the headline would be 'former WWE star'.

Bryan will never wrestle for wwe again. WWE painted themselves into a corner on that.

The real question is will Daniel Bryan allow himself to be put out to pasture, take the easy money WWE will throw at him by the boatload so they can keep him away from another company? Or will he develop a "bad attitude backstage" and "get heat from Vince" and be "fired" then show up in ROH ready to wrestle as soon as wwe is done sueing him for some reason, "coincidentally" keeping him from wrestling for another company for a few years?

In honesty he's a idiot if he quits WWE so he can wrestle in a bingo hall.

He had a short but eventful WWE career, injuries are part and parcel of being a pro-wrestler, accept it, be grateful for the career you had, the memories and the money and the fact that you can now enjoy a easy life still making top dollar with the biggest wrestling company in the world.

With a family at home he is dumb as shit if he risks serious injury just for a cheap nostalgic pop in a ROH bingo hall.
