Quote Daniel Bryan does an interview backstage, but gets interrupted by Big Cass. Cass gets in Bryan's face and calls him a little man then walks off.

All the dream matches people want to see Bryan in are against small guys of a similar size to him (AJ, Miz, Rollins etc), so good trolling by Vince for putting him against the biggest guy he could find.

After being injured for so long it's a massive vote of confidence towards Cass from his bosses, to put him in such a high profile fued, where his opponent needs looking after.

In the main event Bryan sold it like a pro when Cass kicked him in the head doing his Test Lite impression.

I always think of Big Cass as tall Edge.

Either way this is a very uninteresting matchup.

Seven foot tall, 1980s/90s long hair, banging divas and booting people in the head, he's Test Lite LOL

It's an easy storyline to make. Guy bullies shorter guy for being much smaller than him.

To buy into it better, I hope they allowed Cass to explain why he's so against Bryan when he's never done anything on screen with him to dislike him for.

This is solely being used to get Cass back on TV and to continue the whole underdog thing they go through with Bryan in every single feud he has

This opens up the opportunity to do something cool.

My take and my hope is that this, in story line, is Miz paying Cass off as his new Diesel esc. bodyguard to take out Daniel Bryan, have him fight against the odds (something that got him over in the first place) to eventually get to Miz.

Plus, Cass is an average talker, but there is a reason they paired him Enzo in the first place. Now imagine Miz as the talker with Cass as the muscle. To me, thats gold!

That actually makes perfect sense and can prolong the wait for Miz v Bryan by having Bryan needing to go through Cass first

Pretty sure they're already doing that storyline with Ziggler & Drew McIntyre. Not that WWE wouldn't recycle a gimmick two at a time on different shows like with Riott Squad & Absolution.

Quote Daniel Bryan walks out of the trainer's office backstage and does an interview with Renee Young. He says he'll be fine for the Greatest Royal Rumble on Friday, and says Big Cass is a coward for attacking him from behind earlier. Bryan says he talked to Paige, and she's going to give him a shot at Big Cass. Bryan says it doesn't matter how big you are if you're on the mat with him tapping out.

Instead of seeing Bryan laid out, it would have been better to see Big Cass do it, when we know it was him anyway.

I think Cass is going to (with the help of Miz), eliminate Bryan from the Oil Rumble match.

If management are keen to build up Cass, I can't see him tapping to the small guy.

Big Cass' promo was actually really really good

I liked the aggression and his reasons for hating Bryan were typical heel mic work. The fact he also did not side with Miz in a typical Heel/Heel attack on Bryan is great too - it gives him a sort of dont like/trust anyone thing which is great for a man of his size in a heel run.

The way the angle was worked as well also was an excellent way to keep Miz and Bryan apart until Miz returns from paternity

Quote Big Cass vs. Daniel Bryan: The opening bell sounds and they circle each other in the ring. Daniel starts throwing kicks to Cass’ knee, then tries taking him down. Cass blocks the takedown and hammers Bryan down with strikes. Bryan starts firing up with kicks, but Cass overpowers him again and shuts him down. Cass takes Bryan into the corner and chops him across the chest, then beats him down to the mat again. Bryan fires up again and repeatedly kicks Cass in the corner and he hits some flying knee strikes. Cass blocks one of them and slams Bryan down, then clotheslines him inside out. Cass misses a kick, and Bryan answers with a kick of his own. Bryan goes for the Yes Lock and Cass puts up a fight. Bryan repeatedly hits Cass in the head and then successfully locks on the Yes Lock. Cass taps out, and Bryan wins via submission.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

– Cass attacks Daniel Bryan after the match, and beats him down around ringside. The crowd chants “you tapped out” at Cass. Cass throws Bryan back in the ring then hits a running big boot.

They was plenty to like such as it being kept short and Test Lite tapping out.

Some will see a big man tapping to a little guy as a bad thing. But it's going to help his heel persona because wherever he goes now he will get you tapped out chants for a while.

The post match beatdown looked heavy. Sadly we should expect a rematch, maybe something gimmicky?
