So it sounds like Corey Graves really got under Booker's skin while they were working commentary together.

I know there were a number of times when Booker would say something completely nonsensical, and Graves would lay into him and make Booker look like a complete idiot. It's not too surprising to see their own takes on the situation.

There are some people saying this is a work and a storyline, but I just don't see it, even if it is actually pretty entertaining.

It sounds like Booker was let some comments get to him, I know Corey can hit below the belt sometimes but its just his commentary style and quite frankly he's the guy I have enjoyed the most in recent years not since JR was commentating fulltime have I enjoyed the commentary of the WWE team.

Though this is probably a work and Booker's way of putting over Corey as a good hit the point commentator.

Quote On the latest edition of his Heated Conversations podcast, Booker T spoke out on WWE's decision to remove him from the Raw commentary team and replace him with recently signed Jonathan Coachman.

-- According to Booker T, the reason is none other than Corey Graves, specifically that WWE officials thought that he was going to lose it on Graves and beat him up after the two consistently would take jabs at each other on air. He claims that officials then took him off Raw and put him back on PPV kick off shows to take a step back and cool off.

"He's the reason that I'm not on Monday Night Raw right now. A lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump on him, I was going to do something bad to him, I was going to drag him, I was going to take him out to the woods and beat that man so bad, I was going to beat this man until he said, 'Please, please, just don't beat me any more.' That's how hot I was getting.

-- Booker than went on to threaten Graves on the podcast, saying that "I'd take him out to the woods and beat him up" and that if he saw Graves on the street, he'd do "something" to him but that he would be careful not to do it at work or at the arena. He ended up calling out Graves and challenging him to a fight at WrestleMania 34. No word on if this is a shoot or some sort of company directed work.

-- You can listen to the podcast HERE.

I don't see it being a work because Graves can't wrestle and Booker hasn't wrestled in years.

I believe Booker is legit shooting. He's had a long career and feels he's being disrespected by some young kid who's achieved very little.

I don't think Booker cares what would happen to him. He's already very rich and in the HOF, so why does he need E? If released he'd just go back to his wrestling school.

When you listen to them and hear it from their own mouths it sounds like Corey thinks Booker not much different from a Steiner math promo during commentary.

I don't blame Booker for taking it personally, but unfortunately, Corey is not wrong either. And threatening him that way isn't good. In fact it is a punishable offense. Within the world of wrestling and blending fiction and reality it makes it easy to get away with this kind of thing, but if Corey we're so inclined he could actually go to the police over this. It would be a bitch move, but he has that right.

I just dont get, if there is a legitimate, why he would challenge Graves to a match at Mania - unless of course, that is Booker being pretty harsh knowing that Graves can't wrestle.

To be honest, i always found Booker T on commentary to be quite funny - mainly because of the random shit he used to come out with and without knowing this story now, i would assume they were bouncing off each other and had pretty good chemistry. They made it entertaining to listen to commentary again.

IF it is true that Graves is responsible for Booker being dropped, then it is pretty harsh given the status Booker has within wrestling.

I'm sorry but if I was in Corey Graves' position i'd be laughing at some of the stuff Booker comes out with too...I have done just listening to commentary but imagine being next to it for so long haha.

E won't let Daniel Bryan wrestle and he'd make them money, so I don't see them letting Graves back. Booker has a great legacy and wouldn't accept his first Wrestlemania match in years to be against someone as lowly as a commentator.

As noted, on a recent edition of his Heated Conversations show, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T claimed that the reason he is no longer a part of the commentary team of Monday Night Raw is due to Corey Graves.

Graves has responded to the WWE Hall of Famer’s comments by writing the following on Twitter:

“Thus the expert in battle moves the enemy, and is not moved by him.”

-Sun Tzu

(Yes, this is what you think it is)

Quite heelish of Graves making out that he's more power behind the scenes.

It's only been two weeks and i'm already missing the less polished Booker on commentary.

Quote On yesterday's "Heated Conversations" podcast, host Booker T had Corey Graves on as a guest to "clear the air" about their recent online "feud", if you want to call it that. Almost immediately into the show, the two admitted that it was all a work.

-- Graves said that he was he was "entertained by how we were able to work the entire wrestling industry; somehow nobody bothered to call and it took off like crazy." He mentioned how fans were going nuts on his Twitter and even Michael Cole approached him on Monday and wanted to know what was going on and he told Cole that they were just "messing with one another." He also mentioned Big E as another person who contacted him confused as he believed the two were tight.

-- Graves thought it was crazy how no wrestling "journalists" bothered to check any facts and that he didn't get a single phone call from these wrestling journalists and they both laughed at how they entertained each other for the last week.

-- Booker added that "a lot of people don't know hard I was smiling" when told that he would be taken off of Raw and put the PPV Kick Off show and he went into details on how this all started. He said that last week, he had nothing to talk about at the end of his podcast and so "on a whim", he started talking trash about Graves, knowing that all the dirtsheets would pick it up.

-- They ended the segment by saying they love each other and Booker T said that he is one of Corey Graves' biggest fans.

So one of two things happened

1. This was a work and a bloody good one because it had us all fooled

2. It wasn't a work and they were told to cool their jets because they don't need backstage issues going out on air especially after the issues with Enzo Amore, Rich Swann, Neville and many others in the last few months.

Yeah it turns out this was a work. Graves said he was pretty proud of the fact that he and Booker were even able to work Michael Cole who was one of the most concerned in the company about the heat between them. lol

I gotta hand it to them, that is pretty impressive in this day and age to even work your fellow commentators.
