Quote From what I understand CM Punk's title shot that he won last night in the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania will be used for a shot at the WWE Championship and not the ECW Championship. There has been talk of moving Punk to Raw for several weeks.

I'm surprised that he might be getting moved to Raw. But then again shouldn't be, as most of the over talents get moved there. Personally I would prefer him to work his way to the top slowly, with a run on Smackdown first. That said, the character he plays just wouldn't be right, if he didn't go after the best belt. Orton is the only heel champion leading a brand. But it would depend on when it's going to get cashed in. Hopefully he gets replaced well on ECW, so the brand doesn't suffer.

Punk can be a good heel too! Let him get some good wins under his belt and build him up slow so he looks like a main eventer at the moment he isn't ready but isn't far off! I couldn't understand what the booking was all about having him lose to Y2J the next night after what should be the start of his push!

i dont like the mf'er but he wrestles pretty damn good , and i probley would like him as a badguy , but i cant handle the sqeeky clean image he uses on tv , but he should be on raw , hell as far as skill goes the whole ecw should be on raw instead of most of the wrestlers that are on raw , but punk is a showmen that stands out and thats why he should be on raw.

Do the wrestlers themselves have a say in what happens?  I bring this up because in past interviews, Punk has stated he is a huge fan of "MM"RS.  As interesting as it would be to see him topple Cena's highest reign and possibly go further, do you think he would want to bypass a legend and a man he looked up to?

While CM Punk is on his much needed break from WWE, he's basically living the dream of all MMA fans. The former heavyweight champion has attended two UFC events this month, including the one this weekend in San Jose. As noted earlier, Punk will also be attending the fights next weekend, where his close friend Chael Sonnen will be fighting Jon Jones for the light heavyweight championship. Speaking of CM Punk, Mark Coleman is not a big fan of CM Punk as we noted earlier. The MMA veteran was apparently upset that UFC decided to show and acknowledge the WWE star on camera during last weekend's event instead of him. Coleman was said to be furious to the point of wanting to confront Punk, who really did not have a say in what the producers chose to do with their show.

Part of the reason why Brock Lesnar has returned and The Undertaker is working next week is because CM Punk won’t be returning anytime soon and WWE needs star power on TV.

Before this past Monday, the plan was for CM Punk to come out on RAW and whine about losing at WrestleMania 29, then walk out of the company in the storylines. This was held off from the post-WrestleMania RAW because officials felt that Punk would get a big reaction from the post-WrestleMania RAW crowd. Another reason it was held off is because Punk wasn’t happy with the verbiage they wanted him to use and didn’t want to come off as a whiner.

A few weeks back, Punk had a big blow up with WWE creative and wanted to give his notice to quit the company as we reported earlier. He went and worked it out with top WWE officials. At that time, it was decided that Punk wouldn’t be working live events anymore, just TV and WrestleMania 29.

Between the backstage problems and severely tearing knee ligaments at WrestleMania, Punk was written off TV this past Monday at RAW. Punk will be fine once he rests up and lets his knees heal. Right now there is no set plan for Punk to return but word is that he won’t be back until SummerSlam time.

He's not exactly resting up his injury and for someone who's supposedly tired he's not tired enough to be travelling on planes all the time still.

I won't miss him on Raw tonight. It would have been poor anyway with him getting a markish reception.

I reckon a big wrestling fan like Punk will soon get bored and miss the buzz of a live crowd, so maybe he will do some commentary again....

as long as this face Punk isn't exactly like last face Punk, and is allowed the same kind of free reign on the mic that has allowed him to get by so effectively as a heel, then i'm fine with it.

he needs to be talking like he used to on commentary.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Seems as if some fans fabricated stories about being kicked out of the Omaha event because they were chanting for CM Punk. I seriously wonder if these fans actually think that they can make a difference in the PUNK-WWE matter or if they are merely trying to attract attention to themselves? I lean to the latter. I am not a fan of those who want to verbally "hijack" and distract a TV show. Again, I question the agenda of many of the culprits.

Pretty obvious that the stories were bullshit. Shame on those who fell for them and thought E would be that harsh to paying fans.

Those starting the BS should grow up. He's just an average looking guy with an obscene amount of tatoos.

He made his own choice to leave so his obsessive sheep fans should calm down.

Yeah I'm glad people weren't falling for it more. It seemed like some kind of fabrication to me too.

E will have been much more bothered about the fans ruining so many segments of shows.

I've heard nothing new on the CM Punk front. I've not reached to one of my all time favorite wrestles out in respect for his privacy. Let's not over analyze this matter too. Punk's burned out, he's worn out and he's not likely to return any time soon. However, I'd be remiss to speculate that he's 'done' with the business for good.

So...it's going to be interesting to see who steps up and wants to earn Punk's 'spot.'

Who's got the courage and confidence to demand that prime, TV time and spotlight? This matter has much more to do with individual talent's attitude than one might think. The WWE can't simply wave a magic wand and create a star.

It's weird how quite it's gone. Especially with no statement from E about what's happened.

Maybe he's being allowed the time off but so it's not breach of contract for taking his ball home, Punk has signed a confidentiality clause where he can't talk about it.

Well obviously Ziggler has been vying for that spot for ages now and instead of getting lauded and pat on the back like Punk was and get called a revolutionary, Ziggler gets buried fed to jobbers like Rybaxl, etc. No one is going to get Punk's "spot" unless someone that is already trusted and in the main event scene gets it in their heads to take it, and why would they? Certainly no one young and up and coming can take Punk's spot.
