With his slimmer physique, his former gimmick wouldn´t work. While the Masterpiece aspect probably still would work, the whole power stuff and masterlock challenge shit, uh uh...

I doubt WWE would be thick enough to have him rehash his old gimmick. I'm sure he'll probably still use the Masterlock and Master Blaster(Polish Hammer), but I doubt he'll be the same gimmick. Although, WWE throws curveballs every now and then, so we'll see.

Yeah its hard to say what WWE will do with Masters, I can see him rock up in ECW first actually so WWE can get the fans to get use to him again, who knows Masters may very well go under a different name when he makes his return, that does happen because some WWE fans may have forgotten who Chris Masters is, even though no one on here hasnt but WWE probably will go with a different name and different gimmick.

Quote In a post on his official Twitter account, Chris Adonis (aka Chris Masters) announced his departure from Impact Wrestling. He wrote the following:

I have to announce my departure from Impact Wrestling.
Thank you to @sonjaydutterson @EdNordholm & @ScottDAmore

Chris Masters (@ChrisAdonis) January 13, 2018

I hope he's signed back up by E as he's been one of the most entertaining aspects of Impact Wrestling during his stint there.

He's been allowed to show personality on the mic and he's improved in the ring too.

If E ever had plans to make NXT two hours long, he is the kind of guy they need to strengthen the roster.

Yeah resign him and put him in NXT for a while under his Masterpiece gimmick, this was effectively a modern day version of Lex Luger’s Narcissist character which was always a great heel gimmick. I always liked Masters and he worked hard to improve all round but sadly WWE just jobbed him out.

Some time away is often the answer and a push in NXT followed by a return to the main roster may see him finally realise his potential.

That could work - i hope they dont bring back The Masterlock challenge though - they used to be painful segments to watch

He was awful in Impact...he didn't do a great deal other than being Eli's lackey. A WWE return could be fine if he is used as an elder hand in NXT and nothing more.

I'm with Baz on this one. Jobbers in NXT are fine, kind of like how Rhyno was, but anything more is too good for him IMO. Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe he'll be good, but NXT is the place for him to start out regardless.

I'm not a big fan of him his first time in the WWE he was clearly so roided up he couldn't move his arms and got jobbed out from there.

His second one he had slimmed down and managed to have good matches before he was released again.

I don't see much from bringing him back other then as jobber for NXT or SmackDown live

Masters was a victim of the Wellness policy, without his superhuman physique his character was killed. Rob Conway was another, after the random drug testing was introduced his physique shrunk and his character died along with his career in WWE.

Hopefully now he’s had some time away and figured out how to maintain his impressive look without the roids he can get one more chance.
