Quote World Wrestling Entertainment has re-signed Chris Mordetzky, better known as Chris Masters

Masters has been cancelling his indy bookings and telling those promoters that he is going back to WWE and going right back on television as opposed to developmental. He was backstage at the RAW and SmackDown events at the Staples Center last week and looked to be in good shape. Theres no word on which brand he will be returning on.

Masters, 27, has been gone from the company for a little under two years, and has been wrestling overseas a lot since then.

My heart sank when I read this, I hated this guy from day one during his first WWE run, I thought he was useless, nothing more than a big musclehead with a decent look, but VERY limited in-ring skill/.

He's definitely limited in-ring, but I think him returning isn't so bad. I mean, he's going to be a fresh face, at least. Maybe he's improved? Who knows? But there have been worse signings. I mean, guys like The Great Khali, Dolph Ziggler, Santino Marella, and Manu ring a bell. Let's give Masters a chance to redeem himself before we all start slaughtering this guy.
BECAUSE I'M THE MEMBER...AND I'M.....AWESOOOOOOME!!

Did you just group Dolph Ziggler and Santino in with Khali and call them bad signings? wtf?

Anyway, Masters wasn't all that bad, but you know why they're doing this, and it's to fill Kennedy's spot.

Hey, Ziggler's pretty good, he just looks and sounds like a porn star, and Santino's a great comedy character, Creative just fucked him over a bit.

As for Masters, if he's wrestling in Japan, I don't see why his in-ring ability couldn't have improved dramatically. Look at Tomko, a few years out of the big league did him alot of good, same thing could applyy to Masters.

Exactly. Guys like Giant Bernard, Tomko, and more have all gone there to sharpen their skills.

Agreed, wrestlers see Japan as something of a training ground these days, after a unsuccessfull spell in WWE or even TNA they often head there to polish their skills before returning to one of the big two US promotions, Umaga and Tomko are two prime examples of wrestlers who have improved greatly in Japan. Ken Kennedy may be wise to consider going there for a while as well.

Chris Masters wasnt all that bad in my opinion, he was just to green in the ring and had issues with steroids.
I think hes worth a second look in WWE and i will reserve judgment on him untill ive seen him in action a few times.

1) If the guy as learned to wrestle since he's been all over the world wrestling different styles.

2) If he can keep clear of drugs in the full time place of work that is WWE.

He can be a decent signing. If he's no different to last time though......

LOL @ ministry.  My buddy, Ash, feels like you do.

I'm curious to see how he looks.  He looked too big the first time they had him and it gave ya some kind of an idea that he had to be using something.  HHH cracked on him about it too in a backstage segment one time.

they put him on the top show first thing when he was there the first time.  Maybe they should start him out on ECW this time and let him do some work on there.  I wonder if Orton had anything to do with them re-signing him.  They are big buds.  Masters was giving an interview one time and Orton called him during it.

Yeah didnt Randy push for him to join Evolution? I know their was talk of Masters joining the group but then he had his drug problems and his physique shrunk dramatically which was pretty much his gimmick, without the greek god body Masters looked ridiculous coming out and posing and using his Masterlock finisher.
HHH poking fun at Masters muscle shrinkage signalled the end of Master's career, i think Trips set a very poor example here, is it any wonder guys turn to steroids and other illegal muscle enhancers when the most powerfull guy in the company rips on your physique?

Masters is a guy that needs to do a little time on ECW and then do some cross-branding over to Raw or Smackdown.  Honestly, Smackdown could use him as a face.  Don't get me wrong a Morrison or Punk match vs Edge write now would be sweet.  However, two or three months down the line you need that character mold (Luger, Lesnar, Lashley, Batista, etc..) that can play a baby face and take Edge to the limit.  Now I am not saying drop the title to the guy, but I think he would get the best programs out of the Smackdown brand.  Plus, a turn as a Face would be something new for the Masterpiece.

The guy is not a mid-card guy and has enough money from bodybuilding and investments he can pretty much do what he wants.  He needs to have a top billing and Raw is just too packed with Upper Card guys that it honestly is ruining PPV's because they are matches everyone has seen and people are getting more out of the mid-cards as of late.  Bring the guy back, but bring him back the right way.  If you make him go heel, get a feud with Christian, make Christian drop the title so he can go feud with Edge.  I hope WWE does this correctly and don't totally schlock this one up.
Love them or hate them, you'll never forget them
