I think he will leave for a few months to heel up, spend time with his family and play with his shitty little band before being back for Wrestlemania.

What happened with him on Raw is being looked at far too negatively in the link above.

He won't be going to TNA but maybe they don't want to give him a PPV payday if he's leaving for a bit.

The question is.....is he actually done with WWE?

The contract negotiations have been on-going and apparently a new deal has not been signed and I am starting to wonder if at this stage of his career Chris Jericho is considering a big-money offer from TNA where he can work a lighter-schedule that will allow him more time with Fozzy and more time to persue tv options as well as obviously quality time with his family.

The other thing to consider is Jericho's career peaked in WWE years ago, he has found his niche in a high mid-card spot where he can always be relied upon to be the glue that holds the show together, but he will never be a bona-fide headliner in WWE, the best he will ever be is a stop-gap World champion. He has achieved all that he can in WWE.
In TNA he will have fresh opponents and could well actually be in a permanent headlining spot for the first time in his career.

In the current Hogan/Bischoff regime, I can't see Jericho going near TNA with a 10 ft pole.  I don't want the TNA people to think I'm bashing them, because it's not my intention, but I think Jericho is above TNA and him going there would be a huge step backwards for his career.  I don't think he'll be done with WWE as I see him really helping to get guys like JoMo to the next level.

I cant see him going to TNA when before Mania Bischoff was saying someone like Jericho could never be a main eventer. Then Jericho Main Evented WM and won, and twittered it in Bischoffs face.

Yeah, but Bischoff thinks guys like Nash and Sting should still be main eventing and they would be if he had his way. So, his opinion is less than worthless.

I am really scared at the moment. Jericho's contract with the WWE is up soon and in an interview he said

"If I re-sign with the WWE then I shall need some time off for my family and to tour with my band (Fozzy)"

There has been no negotiation of re-signing and jericho has said in the storyline is he isn't champion by Night of Champions PPV then he will walk out of the WWE.

Its a good storyline, one playing to the 'smart fans' as such, who know his real contract dispute.

I have no idea where they are going with this, which makes it ever more exciting as its so rare. I'm siding more with the Jericho resigning though, because it kind of looked like they were building towards a face turn for him, with him staying in the ring quite a while after the loss getting the crowd feeling sorry for him. There were pretty loud 'Y2J' chants and a good round of applause for him on his way up the ramp as well, whether WWE will act on that or not, IDK, because they had Morrison taunting him in the back a while later (I lol'd).

I wish he would of battered Cole when he was shouting "Tell me who the general manager is!" though, would of topped Raw off.

haha, should of pushed the stand over and punched coles glasses into his face. On the serious note, if jericho leaves then we will slowly be seeing the dying of the greatest era of wrestling that ever lived. Edge says he only has like 2 years left, then when the Undertaker and Kane go, it's all about the new kiddy generation.

Another terrific show from Jericho this week as 'will he/won't he resign' continues to fuel the story. Pretty funny how he casually chaired JoMo on the way to the ring (hope these 2 guys feud post NoC).
Love the way this story is being teased by both Jericho and WWE, as Jericho got another shot at being in the 6-pack Challenge at NoC taking on HD solo in a cage match. This is also setting up a great feud (i think) between the new GM and Jericho/Edge.
As an old Jerichoholic I am loving the crowd responses Jericho has been getting lately, as people are split between booing the heel, and cheering the guy for the great work he's doing. Good stuff.
