Quote Chad Gable and Bobby Roode do an interview backstage where they talk about teaming up tonight for a tag match. Gable says he's been keeping an eye on Roode and likes how Roode handles the spotlight, and Gable wants in on that. They head off to the gorilla position for their match.

- The Ascension vs. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable: The Ascension cuts a brief promo before the match, saying Roode and Gable couldn't make in the singles division. Viktor and Gable start this one off, and Gable hits suplexes until Konnor runs in, and he gives Konnor a German suplex too. Roode tags in and beats on Viktor in the corner before hitting a vertical suplex. Konnor gets the tag and The Ascension double teams Roode. Viktor tags back in and works on keeping Roode grounded. The Ascension continues trading tags and beating on Roode. Gable finally gets the tag and hits a cross body on Viktor. Gable hits a cannonball on Konnor at ringside, and then back in the ring for a missile dropkick off the top on Viktor. Gable follows up with a rolling German suplex on Viktor for the three count.
Winners: Chad Gable & Bobby Roode

- Roode looks impressed with Gable's performance and they celebrate their win.

Nothing wrong with this partnership as it gives both more to do than they have been doing.

They will compliment eachother well. Gable with his youth and athletisism and Roode with his knowledge and experience.

Plus if it doesn't work out you've always got the chance to use the predictable booking of someone turning on the other.

I think this will be a angle for Roode to turn heel.

I think all will agree Roode hasn’t exactly set the world alight as a babyface on Raw and his most natural and successful role has always been the heel.

Gable I can see putting American Alpha back together with Jason Jordan when he’s finally cleared to return.

I see them both being an heel and teaming together long term. They don't come across as a babyface team.

Quote Chad Gable vs. Viktor: Bobby Roode is at ringside in Gable's corner, and Konnor is at ringside in Viktor's corner. The opening bell sounds and Gable takes control with a butterfly suplex for a two count. Konnor causes a distraction which allows Viktor to get the upper hand on Gable. Viktor works on keeping Gable grounded now until Gable comes back with an arm bar out of nowhere. Gable hits a suplex as Roode cheers him on for another. Gable hits a cannonball from the apron and then a missile dropkick back in ther ing. Konnor tries to interfere but Roode stops him again. Gable hits a German Suplex and bridges for the pin to get the 1-2-3.

Winner: Chad Gable
- After the bell, Konnor attacks Roode and Gable out of nowhere. Konnor and Viktor make their escape as Roode and Gable recover.

I expect them to turn heel without people knowing they have. Gradually turn them without a big moment to make it obvious.

It's noticeable that they have been together I think three weeks now and all three wins have been taken by Gable. Something is brewing there for futher use....

Never seen them work a match... Are they on Raw or SmackDown?

I think this serves as another good example of why I prefer the women's division in WWE and have for the last couple years. Roode and Gable make no sense, and I'm guessing the reason I haven't seen them is because they're not good enough to make the HULU cut of Raw.
