hmm. I can't see someone putting $50,000 on the line everytime they wrestle....something must be up (or he must have more cash than sense)

Quote With his court case behind him, Brock Lesnar in his debut match last night with New Japan, defeated Kazuyuki Fujita & Masahiro Chono for the IWGP Heavyweight title. Lesnar used 'The Verdict' as his finisher since he can't call it an F5 but it was the same move. This is obviously a cheap shot at WWE for the way court proceedings went. We won't be seeing Lesnar in a WWE ring anytime soon that's for sure. Lesnar has actually gone on record as saying the contract WWE offered him was outrageously bad.

how did the court proceedings go ? because if he wasnt aloud to wrestle then i couldnt see him doing it. calling the F5 the verdict makes it sound like hes won. maybe he can wrestle whilst it gets sorted.

A settlement conference between Brock Lesnar and WWE has been scheduled for Thursday, December 15th, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Bridgeport, CT. If all goes well, the two sides will likely put this thing behind them and move on. It'll be interesting to see how WWE reacts to the New Japan claims that they will be airing the show where Lesnar won the title in the United States on In Demand. One of the main things WWE was very set on was Lesnar not working within the US.

Quote Source: Pro Wrestling Torch

A key man that TNA acquired over the last year was Frank Dickerson. Frank became the CEO of the company earlier this year and comes from a real-world business background. Dixier Carter, owner of TNA, comes from a marketing background. It's interesting to note that Frank was a major key in negotiations with Spike TV and the NWA. He is also known to be a straight up guy backstage and many of the guys feel they can approach him and not have to hold anything back for fear that he may go say something.

As it stands right now, Brock Lesnar will not be in TNA despite the strong relationship the company has with New Japan. A key to WWE's settlement case is that Lesnar won't be able to work in the United States until his non-complete clause with WWE expires in 2010. Lesnar will work New Japan's Jan. 4, 2006 Tokyo Dome show but will not tour with them until that point. Several TNA names are expected to work the January show as well. Names being thrown around are AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe. Of course, New Japan shocked just about everyone when they brought Lesnar to the company so who knows what could come out of the settlement case, if anything.

For those wondering, New Japan and TNA have a talent deal where they 'share' with each other.

this story is like a great storyline use to be only true. something building over time. lesnar is obviously getting too big for his boots if he thinks he can beat wwe in a court case with the lawers vinnie will have. but fairplay to him for trying. seeing him working in tna would be a slap in the face for wwe but i cant see it happening.

Nope he won't be going to TNA....even if a settlement is reached....he will not be able to wrestle in the United States until the year 2010....Since Japan is not in the STates he can wrestle there for now until the court hearing in December

Quote Brock Lesnar might be using "The Verdict" to finish off his matches in Japan, but his legal battle with WWE is far from over, reports PWInsider.com

WWE's lawyers filed a temporary restraining order on 12/6 to prevent its former wrestler from continuing his work with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Lesnar recently won the promotion's title and was scheduled to work several upcoming shows, including NJPW's Tokyo Dome card on 1/4/06.

WWE also asked the court to prevent Lesnar from working for any other professional wrestling organization and from furthering his relationship with NJPW.

Lesnar signed a settlement agreement with WWE in 2004 that enabled him to leave the company to pursue a career in football. In exchange, he agreed not to work for a competing organization.

The Stamford-based wrestling company also said that Lesnar verbally agreed to return to WWE in July 2005, only to later meet with Simon Inoki about a deal with New Japan. WWE learned during Lesnar's November deposition that he backed out of his verbal agreement after signing with Inoki International; in the same deposition, Lesnar admitted that he decided to work for New Japan prior to receiving the court's decision.

New Japan was also a target of WWE, who complained of NJPW's calling Lesnar a "former WWE champion." WWE left the door open to take legal action against New Japan.

The new developments pushed the settlement conference, which was scheduled for next week, back to 2006.

this whole thing is dragging on. lesnar signed off his own back a contract not to wrestle. he broke that contract. so why is it taking so much time to sort out ? ffs the money spent on the whole case could have put to better use. but wwe look silly at the same time for saying lesnar what at there headquarters back in july. and oh my god lesnars new tattoo on his belly is shocking. dont know what he was thinking.

We will be lucky if TNA is around in 2006, hopefully so but will Lesnar still be wrestling to go to TNA, only time will tell, a long time that is.
