Not much to shout about during Extreme Rules except for the five way main event setting up Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe which is a dream match of mine.

This is expected to be a one and done feud but that's fine, one match can deliver enough quality to be very memorable rather than just becoming another overplayed WWE feud, I find feuds lose their shine and excitement the longer they run, the matches also become repetitive.

Joe is one of few talents who can match up physically with Brock, plus the clash of MMA influenced styles should be interesting.

As much as I hate PPV's without World title matches and the blatant unexplained contradiction of the '30 day defence rule' having the World champ only wrestle so occasionally does give more importance to the belt and gives every title match a real big fight feel. Similar to Boxing and MMA fights where the top guys only fight once every so often and this effectively creates more drawing power.

I will be giving Joe vs Brock a watch purely because like you Fletch, it's a dream match and it's something that can, and will deliver.

My one fear is it'll be a short match and Joe will end up looking weak. I would actually love for them to pull the switch, let Joe have a month or two with the title then have Brock win it back at Summerslam in a gimmick match.

They don't need to have Lesnar hold the title for a year in order to give the rub to Reigns as nobody else will be built up enough to be close to touching Reigns post WM season.

Yeah I'd like to see the switch as well and then have Brock win the strap back in a rematch but I'm pretty sure the plan is just for one match and Lesnar will then move on to Braun Strowman for Summerslam.

This is the first match Lesnar has had in a while where there is a opportunity to deliver a longer high quality match, I hope they don't disappoint as expectations will be high. I hope the viewership numbers are good too so this match proves it was a big draw.

Moved your posts lads as it's about a specific storyline/fued not an individual........

Nice touch seeing Heyman physically attacked, but would have prefered him to have taken a bump.

FINALLY though we get to see Brock in a long awaited fresh fued. I think since his return he's only done so with Dean Ambrose as he's always put with guys he's worked with before.

Be a shame if it's a one off because I have a feeling it's going to be very physical with their stiff working styles.

There are severa things that are great about this match.....

It's a smarks dream match given the athletic credentials and strong followings of both talents.

It's fresh, as Admin said Lesnar has been stuck in dull repetitive feuds for a while now, his feud with Goldberg was dragged out over a ridiculously long time and was hampered by Goldberg's limitations in the ring.

It will be a realistic hard hitting match given how these two work with both men being big on MMA and submission.

It will also be interesting that both men are officially heel but are more tweenerish with a lot of fan support in their corners, both are booked as dominant as well rather than being typically cowardly heels. This gives the match more of a edge and I hope they keep the characters this way and resist the urge to turn someone full blown face, it will be great to see them work a more even match with a split crowd cheering for both sides.

All things considered this is the most I've been looking forward to a match in some time.

They have every chance at having the best match of the year.

I don't think Brock will be phoning it in as he usually does. I think it could be his best match in years.

It would really help if Vince allowed them to bleed a little for affect.
