Michael Cole is a heel, his announcing style may seem pretty face-like but I would just say he stays more neutral these days, fact is he's still hated and if he ever goes fully back in to character it will always likely be as a heel. Any talent that grabs him and blasts him with their finisher will always get a booming babyface reaction.

He is not. He was heel up until Lawler had his heart attack, and then flipped. He doesn't dump on Cena, nor does he suck on The Miz's asshole like he did when he was heel. He's the straight play-by-play guy, with face leanings, no way is he a heel.
Sure, nobody likes him, but that's because of his heel character back in the day, and only now because he never calls the action, but that should be blamed on Vince feeding him what to say, and not because of his lack of an ability to call the action.

He's universally hated, if WWE wanted Brock to stay heel theres plenty of others on the roster he could of beat up to get heat, but they chose Cole who was never gonna elicit a round of boos for Brock.

Coles announcing style is standard play by play but I still see him as a heel, hes so hated he cant really be anything else. Its almost like a Bo Dallas style with him where despite acting like Mr whiter than white nice guy he does it in such a obnoxious geeky way it makes him really unlikeable.
Was reading Powerslam online and they were typically negative about the Lesnar situation, saying he was on fire on Raw and now wont be seen again until the build-up to Summerslam while the guys who will now slide into his position(Ryback, Orton etc) wont be even close to the same level. While that may be true its essential that Brock retain his special attraction status and not be over-exposed, its a shame that he now has to take his spring break just as his momentum has peaked but then again it should ensure a booming response and maximum interest when he makes his return.

I think now is the time to chance overexposure, because I could easily see him go on a Stone Cold like run where he just brutally disregards everyone and everything and causes havoc every single Raw, while they lay down punishment after punishment and he takes the path of least resistance in the pu ishments whether it's paying the fine and ignoring the admonishment, or ignoring the suspension and calling their bluff about firi g him, or even getti g fired and then showing up rogue and continuing to dog the authority purely for spite.

Stone Cold as a heel in 96 and 97 did this and Brock could easily do the same and get over just as big if not bigger, just by saying try and stop me.

But he's on sabbatical, and people think it's best to keep him special. Just like they did with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

WWE have really booked themselves back into a corner here.

they know they cannot have Rollins and Lesnar face off, as no one will buy a Rollins win, even a cheap one.

in regards to Brock having been turned, he wasn't.

the biggest pops of Raw were for both Lesnar and Rollins, both heels.  whether they are being cheered just because people think it's cool to, or if it's down to the deeper seated problem of the lack of any real, believable faces is a separate issue.

Lesnar owned that first hour or so of Raw.

my only disappointment with the whole think was that the commentary team was made up of Byran and Lawler, and I was hoping to see Graves come out and see what he could do, since I really enjoy his imput and how he comes across on the pre-shows.

Great way to book his return as he looked a real badass.

I'd have had him return the night after Survivor Series though because for someone so pissed off with what happened to him, it took him long enough to let out some anger.

I was a little surprised to see this happen so early on in the night.

Quote As you have noticed, Lesnar’s limited appearances on WWE television over his tenure since his return means he has limited dates on his contract. But as of late, Lesnar has been competing at house shows, as last week he competed at a show at MSG against Kevin Owens.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline has revealed Lesnar’s upcoming schedule for the remaining time of his contract:

“The plan in place is that Lesnar will do more shows from this point forward, in what will be the final year of his current three-year WWE contract, especially since UFC is now clearly part of his past. He’s been on TV almost every week and done some house shows of late. The impression we’ve been given is he will never work a full schedule, but he will work more dates over the next year, as has been shown by his doing more house shows than ever before and working all but one Monday in the last two months before WrestleMania.”

Rumors have hit the internet as it has been reported that the main event plans of next year’s WrestleMania will include Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. Plans do change in WWE extremely often and the only way to see if this plan is true is to wait until next year’s WrestleMania season.

If Lesnar is open to the idea of a few more dates I'd be happy to see him defeat Goldberg at Wrestlemania and have a one year reign all the way through to WM 34.

Like him or not Brock is a legit bad ass and makes the title feel more important when he's holding it due to not showing up every week and of course because of his athletic and fight credentials.

Lesnar certainly doesn't need to be at Raw each and every week and house show appearances can be very sporadic, but he should work every Raw exclusive and dual brand PPV as champion.

A year long reign would be disastrous for whatever brand he is on. WWE has shown they clearly have no idea how to book the undercard better when the WWE Champion is gone, and working 'more dates' than in previous times would still average out to about the same frequency of appearances if he were champion for a whole year.

Goldberg should not have become champion, but Lesnar being champion again, and being successful requires a very large amount of changes to the way WWE books, and at this point their booking is still sliding downhill, not getting better.

By the sounds of it though with this being the last year of Brock's current deal and with him now done with UFC he is open to the idea of more dates, he will never work even close to a full schedule but a few more Raws and every major event and Raw PPV's I could see that happening. Maybe even a handful of house shows as well.
