LOLWUT?

The Heavyweight division in UFC has never been more stacked, Brock has plenty of top quality opposition to contend with.

Hell, no matter how far Frank Mir has fallen, Lesnar/Mir III would draw HUGE numbers. Brock could easily lose that belt at any given time, such is the top-notch fighters he has to face, hence why everyone of his fights is a must watch.

Quote Brock Lesnar recently spoke with Jeff Wagenheim of Sports Illustrated to promote UFC's The Ultimate Fighter and his new book. Here are some wrestling-related highlights:

SI.com: Let's switch the conversation from a strong woman to a couple of headstrong men. In moving from the WWE to the UFC, you went from having Vince McMahon as your boss to working for Dana White. How are things different?

Lesnar: One thing about working for Vince: I never was able to get a really good read from him. He's dealt with a lot of entertainers in his day. But when I sit down and talk to somebody, I just want to shoot straight and have the same thing done to me. You can't take this away from Vince, though: He has taken his product and made it very successful.

SI.com: Are you happier in the UFC? Is it a better fit for you?

Lesnar: I finally found my calling, and it's to be an ultimate fighter. But don't get me wrong: The WWE did a lot for me. They made me a household name throughout the world. It's just that in the WWE, the pen and paper are pushing you, along with the man behind the company. In the UFC, I kind of had to make my own name. Dana wants to see you do well, but at the end of the day you've got to get in there and execute the job.

Vince sounds like someone who would have an awesome face on him playing poker if one of his money making men like Brock couldn't read him well.

I can see why Vince is like that though. He's been screwed around by talent over the years and there is a fine line he wouldn't want to cross between being the boss and being matey.

Brock is right about UFC. There he's got to make a name for himself off his own back, which is bound to be much more satisfying than being a success because of how someone books you in a scripted environment.

Quote Brock Lesnar recently spoke about his negotiations with WWE, leaving the UFC and more. Here are the highlights…

On Leaving the UFC Too Soon: "You've always got that part in your mind," Lesnar said. "I do miss it, but I've got to keep myself in check. What I went through the last few years was quite traumatic, not being able to fight like I wanted. I got back on the horse way too soon. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. That chapter in my life has come to closure, and I'm comfortable with it."

On His UFC Run Giving Him Leverage With WWE: "I'm at a different stage in my life where … I think I've earned all that," he said. "That was the only way I could make this happen. They [WWE] played ball and hopefully it's a win-win for both of us. I really do enjoy putting on a show. I left originally because I was a caged animal 300 days a year on the road and they knew that. That was the bottom line — I don't want to be that person."

I think it was his illness that cut short his UFC career, he was never the same after that and both he and his family obviously had serious concerns about him suffering serious injury or health problems if he continued fighting, obviously in WWE he's able to protect himself due to the matches being ''worked''.

I completely get how he doesn't want to be on the road, hes a person who enjoys solitude and his privacy, he doesn't particularly like being around other human beings, that's very much like me in many ways so I respect him for that, but if he's speaking the truth in saying he still loves putting on a show surely it wouldn't hurt him to up his deal to maybe 5 matches a year rather than 3? I just think that would allow Brock to have his appearances and matches spaced out over the year nicely without him having to vanish for too long a period of time but long enough to still keep his drawing power high, plus he could still enjoy decent breaks inbetween his Raw and PPV dates.

Summerslam is in LA, remember? So yeah, the local newspaper of the host city bringing something related to the big event on Sunday in the week before the big event, that´s not too far fetched i guess....
