Quote In a recent interview with the UK Sun, Brock Lesnar stated that TNA star Kurt Angle and former WWE star Bobby Lashley do not what it takes to compete in the UFC. Lesnar said, "I am here to represent amateur wrestling and not professional wrestling. Are there other pro wrestlers who can come into UFC like me? Absolutely not. They just don’t have the background that I do. Even top UFC fighters wish they had more wrestling experience in their background."

* Brock Lesnar always comes across in his interviews as an arrogant bastard.

* Way more people know him through professional wrestling over amateur wrestling, so he should be representing that in MMA.

* He's an high opinion of himself when talking about other UFC fighters. He shouldn't be so cocky.

* How can he say no other pro wrestlers could come to UFC? Does he not remember Kurt Angle kicking his ass in a backstage shoot?

I loved watching him tap in 90 seconds lol I think the guy is way too cocky for what he has actually done which isn't that much

I'm not a MMA fan, but am looking forward to seeing Lesnar getting his face kicked in next week.
I see his point about Angle, but Lashley also has amatuer background.

And he married Sable. Eeeew! Confused

Lesnar is just as cocky as any other UFC fighter or pro boxer - they all believe that they are the best at what they do, and Brock is an accomplished athlete at a few levels so has earned that right. As for him saying no-one has the amateur background that he does - Actually, Angle has a way better record. Brock should know that, Kurt didnt exactly keep his Olympic gold medal win a secret now, did he?

Brock will still beat Couture though.

UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar returns to the Octagon next month on Pay-Per-View at UFC 100 on July 11th. Lesnar will defend his gold against the man who defeated him in his first UFC fight, interim champion Frank Mir.

Lesnar spoke to the UK Sun this week and gave some insight into his thoughts about UFC's heavyweight division as well as his surprising motivation for fighting.

Lesnar said, "I watch the other heavyweights and I don't feel threatened by any of them. It doesn't mean jack shit to me. I just want to win fights and make as much money as I can."

Despite his success thus far in the UFC, he's doing what he can to make sure his priorities are in check. "It's all part of the plan and it's a dream come true. I'm not getting caught up in la-la land. I'm keeping everything in perspective and keeping it real. But even though I've got the belt, I can still become a better fighter. It poses a whole other threat now, with people gunning for you and not just me trying to climb the ladder."

Lesnar once again emphasized that as much as he enjoys the thrill of competition, at the end of the day, it's still just a way to earn a paycheck. "I've had plenty of jobs to put food on the table. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota so I'm no stranger to hard work. But you have to make money. If there wasn't a prize or a guy couldn't make a living out of this I highly doubt that anybody would fight. Put it this way, guys play golf for recreation. You don't fight and get bloody noses and black eyes for fun. I'm a grown man and I have to make a living out of this."

Brock Lesnar is the current UFC Heavyweight champion and has a record of 3-1.

UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar spoke to ESPN.com this week and had some interesting things to say about his brush with death earlier this year, how UFC President Dana White compares to WWE boss Vince McMahon and whether he'd ever return to the wrestling promotion that put his name on the map.

His Medical Illness: "I've put myself in this category as this confrontational person who creates controversy, but for people to grasp what was happening and to be like, "Holy s---, I might never be able to see this guy fight again!" That saddened them more than anything probably. I'm sure some of them said, 'I hope that son of a b---- dies.' I don't know. I'm sure there are people out there like that, but that's just the way it is... My hands [are my biggest weakness right now]. I'm constantly working on my hands, I'm constantly working on my ground game, and constantly trying not to get satisfied with where I'm at with my career and where I'm at as an athlete. I'm somewhat happy, but never satisfied...

Dana White vs. Vince McMahon: "If I had to say one thing about Vince [McMahon] it would be ruthless. If I had to say something about Dana
it would be diligent and somewhat brilliant. Two different approaches to business."

Guest Hosting WWE RAW: "I had a great run with WWE. WWE gave me great visibility, I met my wife there, and I got paid a lot of money, it was just my time to go. I sensed it. I was smart enough to leave. That's the bottom line... I wouldn't be opposed to [a one night only return to the WWE]. I'm still focused on my fighting right now, but if the opportunity arose some day, I'd never say never."

I dont see Brock ever coming back to WWE except for perhaps a one off appearance or a Hall of Fame induction.

If his MMA career ended prematurely for whatever reasons I could see him heading to TNA largely due to the fact they would pay him very well for a relaxed schedule, Brock is money-motivated and has spoke at lengths about his hatred of the WWE road-schedule and that is why talks broke down between him and WWE when his football dream didnt work out and he began negotiating a possible WWE return.

In any rate I see Brock having a long and profitable MMA career and I would think by the end of it he will be financially set for life and will be content to just go home and relax with his family.

As one of the few wrestlers to go on to bigger success after leaving WWE, I think WWE should make a play to get him as a guest host after his fight with Carwin later this year, Im sure it will be a ratings killer to see Brock back, maybe even eclipsing the Bret Hart return as current fans will know Brock. I also think he should (but probably wont) be seriously considered for a HOF spot in the future, he was only with WWE for 2 years on the main roster but what he crammed into those two years made a lasting impression, he was sort of a Goldberg figure that tore through the company and got a lot of success in a short period.

Quote TMZ has a video up where they spoke to Brock Lesnar about his return fight on Saturday. Brock said he's feeling fine after his health scare and that it was his opponent Shane Carwin who was risking his life in the match.

Lesnar also talked about the new trend of fighters drinking their own urine and gave some advice to Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

Brock should know better than to come out with a comment like that after what Mir said about him last year which was similar.

Drinking your own urine is sick. It sounds like a "trend" that Brock himself is part of Dead

That sort of sick shit has to give you a dicky tummy.

Even the thought of drinking your own urine is very awful & I don't know why anyone would even want to joke about that. It's like 1 of those moments where your better off saying nothing also I don't know how you can give advise to Britney Spears & Lindsay Lohan because those women are beyond crazy & when I joke around I always say Britney Spears crazy or Lindsay Lohan crazy. LOL

Quote Following his surprise submission victory over Shane Carwin at UFC 116, Brock Lesnar spoke about his return to action following his illness and the fight with Carwin. Here are some highlights courtesy of MMAScoops.com:

On returning from illness: "Honest to God, from what I've been through since Nov. 6 of 2009 up until this point, it feels like it's been 10 years. It's been a gruelling, gruelling road. It really is truly a miracle. To come back from all that, and to be here and to win, words just cannot describe it. I really feel like I'm in a dream."

On getting dominated in the first round against Carwin: "[Carwin] hit me pretty good, and I didn't know where (I was) for a second. I ended up the ground, and I just had to go into survival mode and try to stay busy. He's a beast. He definitely won the first round."

On whether he was in trouble: "I really have to thank the referee for allowing that thing go on. I wasn't hurt. I thought if I just kept moving I could feel Shane's punches slowly becoming less and less. I thought, 'If I get out of here, then I'm going to exert a bunch of energy.' I realized there was a short time left, and I just tried to stay busy."

On how he kept himself alive: "It's been a roller-coaster ride all over the place. It did cross my mind when I was underneath there that I've been through a lot. To weather that first round, I thought to myself, 'This isn't how it's going to end. I've got to keep moving down here.' He was strong on top. He outboxed me. He got me, and I'll be the first one to tell everybody that, and that's just the way it is. It's been a crazy year. I've been through a lot, and I wasn't going home without [the belt], that's for sure."

On his mindset between rounds: "I've been in those situations. I think some of my pro wrestling days helped prepare me for the ups and downs of things. I just don't get too emotionally attached to a certain round. We train for that in the gym. There's certain things that are just going to happen. You've got no control over it, and it's whether or not you can get out of there and do the right things to move on. I knew that I lost the first round, but there were still four rounds left. I thought, 'Well, we're in a fight for sure now.' I thought, 'Here we go. I'm going to have to win this round, for sure.'"

On learning from jiu-jitsu trainer Rodrigo "Comprido" Medeiros: "We kind of suspected that [Carwin] would be prepared for my ground and pound, so 'Comprido' pointed this submission out. He said, 'Listen, this is something that's very feasible for you to do. It's a wrestling basically, it's a headlock.' Ironically, it happened on the other side. It actually all went totally backwards into it. It was just one of those things where I had to jump to the other side, and then I was where I needed to be. It just comes in training part of second-nature. You've got to react, I guess."

On his future training: "Each win, you've just got to put it behind you and move forward. We'll train and keep doing the right things. I'm a wrestler. I'm a wrestler, and I'm trying to evolve. Is it pretty remarkable that I've only got six fights, and I'm the UFC heavyweight champion? Absolutely, it is. But I've got a lot of room to grow. I'll be the first one to tell you."

Okay so this is suppose to be a triumpath story & were all suppose to suck up to him because of his miracle comeback. A lot of people told me that Lesnar was getting his ass whipped in the match from beginning until he got like 1 or 2 moves then capitalized on it.

So Lesnar is basically saying that he isn't an emotional wreck now with all the dramaticness of the thanking god I have to say that he's a BIG emotional wreck. When you do serious training it's like the hardest thing but after a while your body get's ammune to all of the pain & it becomes a regular routine for you.

Everyone is trying to evolve even if your @ the top of your game. Trying to bring the best out of yourself is something everyone strives for because you can always learn something new everyday.

He's only had 6 fights & is UFC champion because there isn't many people in his division plus there are rivalries that people look forward to seeing or match up's they would like to see. Everyone wants to be champion but they know when there ready to go for a championship kind of fight plus you have to be able to win certain matches before even contending for it.
