See I still don't mind the route they are going with this provided Owens is given some protection and not made to look like a absolute jobber just because Goldberg won't work more than a quick squash. I don't mind Goldberg going over Owens and getting a transitional reign but Owens needs to at least look competitive against him and then get a strong win over Jericho at Wrestlemania. It's said Jericho is out the door post Mania so it's the right call for him to put Owens over.

As for Goldberg and Lesnar again I don't mind the match as the previous booking of their feud was decent with a the intensity levels built up well giving it a real big fight feel. With the title on the line the build can now be even better with more at stake. If Goldberg is able to wrestle a 10-15 minute match that doesn't stink the joint out then I'll be happy, if carefully booked these two I'm sure can have a very watchable power based match. As I've mentioned before the winner should then be booked to put over a rising star for the title like Samoa Joe or Braun Strowman.

Wow about time that Goldberg took a bump and Lesnar got the upper hand for a change.

I liked the slight Heyman distraction calling Bill a bitch that lead to the attack.

Quite funny how much Bill made sure he protected his title even when about to eat a finisher LOL

See I'll admit while I hated Goldberg's super quick squash win over Owens it has helped build intensity and anticipation for the match between Goldberg and Lesnar, seeing Goldberg look vulnerable taking a F5 and now the idea of seeing them actually have a real even sided match is actually a exciting prospect. I think with some good booking this will be a very good Wrestlemania main event.

Going forward though surely Goldberg has to lay down for Brock at Mania, then I hope if Bill wrestles future matches in WWE they are very sporadic and spaced out so they don't have to worry about him risking injury and he can actually go in the ring for more than thirty seconds.

    J.R.'s Answer:

Not needed imo. I suspect Lesnar will have a more aggressive schedule after he wins the title for the final year of his current contract.

Lesnar has done so much for Goldberg for months now and Brock winning the title will be the pay off.

Anything can happen in E but that title change is probably the 'put your mortgage on it' bet of the night.

Plus giving Brock a title run can sweeten him up to sign a new contract.

That's because you want the company to die LOL Nobody watches Bring It To The Table judging by the thread we have on it, but the second episode last night they spoke about Goldberg and basically sucked up to him especially JBL.

I didn't see the point of the promo. It wasn't some of the best work we've seen as Heyman came across rather child like and giddy.

It's a shame so few dates on their schedules means they are kept apart so much.

Yeah great idea - put a fifty year old man who can only wrestle 30 second matches due to risk of injury and limited stamina over a guy who is a proven marquee star and top draw who potentially has a decade or more of performing at a high level left in front of him.

I was initially excited about the return of Goldberg, don't get me wrong he was one of my favourites during his prime years and I still enjoy seeing him for nostalgic reasons, I was always a supporter for him to return during the whole will he or won't he rumours that went on the past twelve years.

However I just hate the lazy booking short cuts they've had to use because they're terrified Goldberg will get hurt or will be completely exhausted and incapable after more than a minute in the ring. I also question what he can actually do in there now, I mean back in the day Goldberg used impressive power based offence, can a fifty year old Goldberg who's been away from the ring for twelve years still execute gorilla press/slam/suplex sequences on a guy the size of Brock or anyone for that matter? Goldberg is in decent shape but I think he lacks the muscle mass of his peak years.

In any rate the squash win at Survivor Series over Lesnar was fine as it was building to something much bigger which would ultimately put Brock over. But everything since that has just been booked to protect Goldberg at the expense of the full time talent roster and has short changed the fans by giving us painfully short main event matches and now we have the title on a guy who has wrestled around five minutes in total in the last twelve years.

Lesnar needs to go over clean and decisively at Wrestlemania in a match that I hope will at least run 10-15 minutes. Personally I would book this match second to last and hand the top spot to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton.

First of all, the only reason I want to see Goldberg win is because I hate Lesnar and his die-hard fans.

Second, just because Goldberg hasn't wrestled more than a few minutes since coming back doesn't mean he CAN'T go for a while longer like say 10-15 minutes every few weeks.

Third, I'd love to see Roman Reigns spear, & superman punch Goldberg on Raw the night after to 2-shot HIS way to the title because OMG the uproar that would cause would be "glorious".

What a borefest and lazy booking to have recap videos take up a good ten minutes of airtime.

They could have had Heyman turn up alone and talk for five minutes, as at least that would be fresh new material.

I suspect it will be the last match at Wrestlemania, which I don't agree with.

I don't mind pre-taped interviews like they often do with Lesnar as that gives more of a big fight feel I think, but I agree just showing endless recap stuff is pure laziness from the booking squad.

Also agree about the match going on last, they should hand that spot to Wyatt and Orton who I expect to work a lengthy decent match. Lesnar/Goldberg is expected to be longer than Goldberg's previous blink and you'll miss them efforts but reports have suggested it could still run less than ten minutes which for a Wrestlemania main event is poor.
