Yes you are hearing this correctly.

After a match with RVD on Impact's Hard to Kill pay per view, Brian Cage has jumped ship. This is unprecedented, as in all my years as a fan, I have never seen a top star of a company make a jump during an ongoing pay per view until now.

My guess is he will be brought in to counteract MJF and Wardlow in the Cody feud.

It doesn't surprise me that E wasn't mentioned as interested in him in the article as he's already 35 and his beefcake look isn't as wanted in this generation.

He's a good pick up for AEW though as he at least has a few years of TV exposure and got pushed to the top in Impact.

I aren't surprised he turned down a new Impact contract as it can't have been pleased having to lose to Tessa Blanchard which will have damaged his persona a lot.

This is a great catch for AEW and I may be tempted to renew my interest in their product when Cage makes his debut as I've always been a fan of his, hes been booked as a top star in Impact and hes a larger guy with a athletic power based style which AEW need right now.

Cage is someone AEW would be smart to push to the moon, he doesn't have any WWE stigma and has a big star aura about him. I would say he is AEW's best signing since Moxley.

The only small concern should be the rumour that he has never signed with WWE because of the substances he uses to enhance his physique and he would never pass their wellness tests.

His wife is saying that he has not signed with them so maybe reports broke out prematurely?
