I bet McMahon would jump at the chance to induct Owen Hart.  If only Owen's widow would give the okay so in a way, I don't blame Vince for not inducting him.  I know she's mad because he lost his life doing this stuff but why not, out of respect for him,  give the okay?  It would be great to see him be inducted.  She could be the one to accept the induction, say a few words about him and let it be done and her husband can know from above that he's in the Hall of Fame for the profession he loved.  I don't know how much time he had left on his contract when Bret left but my guess is he would have left too if he didn't like being in the WWF/E depending on the time he had left.  I just wish she'd give the okay to induct him.

I don't understand why the entire Hart family hasn't been inducted either.  Their mother could accept on all their behalves and tell a little about each of them.

Sorry to say but Helen Hart passed away on November 4th 2001.

But really though if anyone could talk about the Harts, why not someone that has been trained by them, like Chris Jericho, Lance Storm, etc., the entire Hart family though should be inducted, its a crime that they are not, especially for what they've done for the business, whether its wrestling or training new talent (Roddy Piper, Chris Jericho, Chris Beniot (RIP), Lance Storm, Edge & Christian, Brian Pillman (RIP), plus many others).

oh, sorry, I didn't know that.  Thanks for telling me.  But yeah, you're right.  Someone that got trained by them and was around them a lot could induct them.  I think it would be awesome if Edge could induct them.  At Mania, he was at Axxess doing an interview piece and was asked if he could wrestle anyone he wanted to, who would it be and he said, "without a doubt, Bret Hart."

I wonder if the WWE will ever have another WrestleMania in Canada.  Maybe they could be inducted then.  If they do have another Mania in Canada, that is one I definitely want to go to.

Quote WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart was recently interviewed by the UK Sun's WrestleCast radio show, which you can listen to here. Some highlights:

HBK vs. Undertaker: "I’ll be the first to say that I thought Taker v Shawn was the best match at WrestleMania, maybe one of the best matches I’ve seen in years. To a certain degree, I was proud of both of them. I never take away the fact that Shawn was a great wrestler and he did a lot of great stuff. I’ve always been really proud of the match we had in Anaheim, when I dropped the title to him."

Passing the Torch: "If you look back when I first won the title, too many guys – Warrior, Hogan, Jake Roberts – didn’t pass the torch back. When I left the business I had a lousy ending, but I would have loved to have wrestled Steve Austin one more time at the end of my career and really put him over – or Shawn. I would have loved to have given back. I didn’t end up being able to pass the torch back, that was an honour I would have liked to have done."

John Cena being a company guy: "When Chris Benoit died he was on Larry King and somebody asked him if wrestlers need a union – and he shot that down and said 'no'. The truth is only an idiot would say wrestlers don’t need a union, because we do! But it is hard not to take that company position and be a company guy when you’re on the team later. I was in his shoes and you try and do the best you can. As far as his career and how they’re using him – he’s better off working with them and doing everything the way he’s doing it."

Wrestlers dying young: "I don’t understand why so many of them are dying from the prescription pills problems and downers and things like that. There’s an addiction I don’t understand, as I was never addicted to anything like that and never had any desire to tranquilize myself after the matches. I couldn’t understand why these guys would take pills all the time. Back then it was stupid, but now they’re all dying. There have been so many who died that shouldn’t have. Curt Hennig, Miss Elizabeth, Davey Boy, Test and Crush should all be alive. But I think it’s unfair to pin this epidemic of wrestlers dying on Vince McMahon. It’s the wrestlers who need to clean up their act."

* See although he slags off John Cena, he also realises why John comes out with the stupid comments he does, because he's been in the same position before.

* He mentions passing the torch, but anyone can say that. I wonder if he would have done for real if the chance presented itself.

* The Bret Hart of old wouldn't have openly praised a match involving HBK. That was good to see.

NZPWI recently conducted a 90-minute interview with Bret Hart. You can check out the full article at http://www.nzpwi.co.nz/ Here are some highlights…

On Montreal: "It always hurt me that I was accused of never getting over what happened in Montreal. Of course it was a big deal, of course it felt good when I cold-cocked Vince…" and there's a pause here for an almost-sinister chuckle, "and of course it took a long time to get over the betrayal. But I can honestly say, now, I have forgiven Vince. He made his decision and I don't regret my actions; I feel I carried myself with an integrity that is consistent across my career, the film, my book – you get the same character with me – but I honestly don't know that I could ever forgive Hunter [HHH] or Shawn."

What Would He Say To Shawn Michaels Today: "If there was a knock at the door now and it was Shawn, I honestly wouldn't know what to do. He was at the Hall of Fame ceremony when I was inducted, but he got up and left when I came to the podium; they had a word with him beforehand and so at least he was respectful of that. I made it clear that if he got within a few hundred meters of me I'd be back on the plane so fast".

On Being At Peace: "I'm definitely at peace – and I guess the book is a big factor, sure. But the thing that got it started for me was when Vince agreed to release the DVD of my matches. I remember worrying that I might get stitched up, they might make some jokes, but I was so thrilled with it. For me it was about letting the matches speak for themselves and for a while I was worried they would be locked up. I'm just thrilled that people can see them again, or see them for the first time. The Hitman was an important character. And the DVD, my book and my appearances to sign autographs, to speak at book launches, I guess it's all part of reclaiming my legacy."

I wish Hart would just move on, he might say he has in this interview but it clearly shows he hasnt. Him not forgiving Shawn or Hunter only because they came up with the idea, isnt really there fault, especially since Bret refused to lose the title when he was told to. Oh well, hopefully one day he and Shawn will let things settle.

* Why can't interviewers think of something more original to ask of him than Montreal? He should stop answering those questions.

* If he was face to face I reckon it would be civil between them even though they aren't the best of friends.

* The DVD and hall of fame apperance both helped him be more known by the audience of today.

IF Shawn and Bret went face to face, I think Bret would storm off in a huff, I reckon Shawn would be "man" enough to stand face to face with Bret, but Bret wouldn't, its like Bret said in that interview, if Shawn was a few hundred metres near him, Bret would've have gone home.

Bret has in some ways forgiven McMahon, but he won't forgive Shawn, so goes to show Bret in some ways still hates and blames Shawn Michaels for the screwjob.

Let's see… he's over the screwjob, but he still can't forgive either Trips or Shawn for it. Sorry, but that is totally inconsistent. As bad as the Core Group's rabid party fanbase is about a certain redhead, Bret Hart himself is twice that embarrassing when it comes to Shawn and Hunter. At least those of us who criticize and even at times rip Hunter now do so for modern reasons instead of harping on about the same damn thing that happened twelve years ago.

He isn't over it. As much as he says he is, its a known fact that he isn't, even when he snickered in that interview when they said he hit Vince and him admitting it was worth it, you can tell right there he isn't over it and still holds that grudge against Vince and DX. Sure Bret did the DVD and the HOF appearance but he only did it for his fans, he didn't do it for Vince or the WWE.

* No matter how much he hates Vince Russo it was sick of him to say someone should hang him by his neck.

* Melina the best wrestler in the world? She's not even one of the best female wrestlers in the world.

* Whenever he gets interviewed he always seems to sound bored lol.
