It might be because it was Talking Smack but his segment came over quite like a babyface to me.

He wasn't as 'weird' as normal and seemed to speak and act differently to what we're used to.

If management are planning a face turn for him then as others have said it will mean money for all concerned with merchandise sales and that.

I alluded to this in the SD thread, that I find it weird that it's Harper they've turned face. No matter how long he stays a face it just seems strange, that when the guy who has the best psychology since Jake Roberts wasn't the one they've turned.

I know it can all change after Elimination Chamber before we head to Wrestlemania but something about Harper turning and not Bray doesn't sit right.

Finally Wyatt has become wwe champion. Not only that, by he defended successfully against Cena and Styles. He will be defending the title at Wrestlemania.

His storylines got stale, his stable has changed over the years, and tbh it is now the worst it has ever been, but throughout iit all, Wyatt himself has been dependably great.

I just hope Smackdown can come up with some good stories for him going forward because I am quite sick of Orton vs Wyatt...

EDIT: Looks like I posted this 2 minutes too soon. Wyatt just got a lot more interesting with Orton refusing to challenge him at Mania.

If its a fake, its a good one, and if its not, then who steps up to challenge for the wwe title at mania in Orton's sted? Either way it makes his storyline interesting and that is exactly what is needed.

I've been seening talk of Jake the Snake publicly wanting to work with Wyatt again, now more than ever would be a great time to bring back Roberts as Luke Harpers manager.

I would actually really like to see Wyatt face Styles for the title at Wrestlemania but something tells me this is all a smokescreen and Randy will still be challenging for the belt, otherwise why have him win the Royal Rumble, this is obviously all heading somewhere.

Bray Wyatt is a superb character and wrestler but he does need some freshening up, I've pushed for a babyface turn for a while now and I think he will set himself up to fill the void left by The Undertaker.

I agree about the smokescreen comment, however, just the fact that they are going that route freshens up an otherwise very cliche storyline.

Bray vs Harper vs Orton....

Harper wins the Battle Royal, Orton decides that as he's not facing Bray 1 on 1 he'll help his master keep his title, simple to book too haha.

I agree. He should be building up year on year now a big win streak at Wrestlemania to draw comparisons.

The sooner he's babyface the better. He should be making a shitload of company for himself and his bosses with the amount of merchandise he'd sell.

He's in a select group of next generation wrestlers who are better than the generation in their family before them.

I enjoyed Bray on Smackdown last week, he teased a full babyface turn in the way he delivered his promo and I think as a result it made his promo work easier to follow rather than the mumbo jumbo he often spouts.

There's a huge upside to Bray Wyatt as a face, they can build on his already strong following turning him into a merchandise goldmine, he's still very young not even thirty yet so if he can stay healthy has a very long career left in front of him.

As he again proved in his match this week he's a great worker and story-teller, basically he's got main-event written all over him. I would actually say he could potentially be the next top babyface at a similar level to guys like The Rock and Stone Cold.

Heres a snippet from an article I've just read with regards to the genius that is Bray Wyatt and the time, effort and work he has put into The Fiend character. Wyatt deserves alot of credit for what he has put into it and I hope he doesn't get squashed off Reigns at Mania:

“This is symbolic of how much time and energy has been put into this character. You know his mask that he wears as the Fiend? Would it shock you to know that from the day that he debuted, he had like 5 masks. And not 5 masks because they were going to smell bad, but he has a mask that’s more reticulated for close up interviews. He has a mask that’s bright or white for low light situations. For every situation he has the right mask to wear. That’s the degree of thought that has gone into this character.”

Bray Wyatt as he was in 2014-2015 was a great and very interesting character enough. Many people compared that Wyatt to The Undertaker in terms of a dark characterization. But last year when he debuted the "Firefly Fun House" his character was at a crossroads. It was either going to be a brilliant success or an utter failure and joke. The Fun House would either solidify Wyatt as the next Undertaker as many have said or doom him to being instead the next Kane, one of the two. I think Bray did the Firefly Fun House good enough. But once "The Fiend" debuted, it made the whole aura ten billion times more interesting. And needless to say Bray had the acting skill as well as the mastery of psychology to make it flourish.

Another important aspect of how he has been presented is how his appearances are carefully timed. He has not been overexposed. So many Champions and main guys in the company were seen from week to week, week to week, in every main event of Raw or Smackdown week in and week out. John Cena was the worst in his run in this regard.

But one might notice that The Fiend is not like that. Whoever he is feuding with (Seth Rollins a few months ago, Daniel Bryan in recent weeks) talks about him to build up the tension. There may be a Firefly Fun House segment on the Titantron but the Fiend himself is not seen in the arena. Then at just at the show's end The Fiend makes his brief but impactful appearance, attacking his target. That's a level of character protection like Undertaker; and that formula works better than simply putting him in the main event, putting him the main event. The best card headliners are not overexposed; and The Fiend is not overexposed. Rather he is elusive. The less he is seen the more his appearance is wanted. The best Champions have always been like that.

So yeah, Wyatt's character is one of the best in years and there is no doubt a lot of thought has gone into it. If there is so much careful thought going into his masks as the article says than there is a whole lot more going into everything else.
