Hard hitting segment which made Braun look like a real hard bastard.

I suspect that Roman will win on sunday, but he deserves it for the great job he's done in recent weeks at making his opponent look his equal.

I don't think Braun will look weak in defeat to someone who's much more experienced.

I've enjoyed the booking of Braun Strowman lately and he's proved he's not just another lumbering big man, this guy is athletic.

I read a interview with The Big Show where he said the bigger guys can work but Vince McMahon has always insist they work a traditional plodded big man style but these days Vince is more open to them working better matches.

Strowman seems to be on a path to becoming a top heel and I wouldn't rule out a World title reign for him this year.

I think Reigns will be losing this Sunday but I don't think it will be clean, have a feeling The Undertaker will be involved to set the Wrestlemania match in motion.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Enjoyed Reigns vs Strowman match a great deal and was especially impressed with "I'm the not as green as I was not that long ago, Braun Strowman."  Somewhat stumped as to why Strowman lost more so than why Reigns won but, again, we will hopefully understand why soon. Good match. Nonetheless, Iws impressed by both men and their in ring efforts can't be questioned.

Obviously, WWE has Roman Reigns still is highly positioned but Strowman is also a potential, Wrestlemania main event talent.

Quite simple why Reigns won the match. The build up was very one sided and in the end when they met one on on experience was the deciding factor and the babyface finally got revenge for weeks of looking weaker.

I enjoyed the match. Two big guys going at it in a realistic way. Roman also put over on Raw Talk how good Braun is mentioning him in the same breathe as The Undertaker and Big Show for big men.

Even though they won't get another PPV match I expect tonight Braun to lay out Roman being angry about last night.

The thing that annoyed me is all the good work they've done establishing Braun was almost undone just so Roman could get the heroic win. It wouldn't have harmed Reigns to put Strowman over or they could have protected him by having The Undertaker interfere to cost Roman the match, either way a big win for Strowman would have done much more for his status and career than it has for Reigns.

Hopefully a re-match will be booked on a upcoming Raw where Braun Strowman gets the win.

I mentioned in the Raw thread that they've killed Strowman over two nights. I won't spoil what went down on Raw but it's horrific booking for someone who they went the right route with in terms of building him up. They could have had the match at Fastlane end in a no contest where both men couldn't beat the refs count or something like that to keep both protected. It's a damn shame for Strowman as he's improved so much since the brand split, he deserves some big wins.

Agreed. Even a double count out where both men brawl uncontrollably outside the ring would have been fine, Roman getting a clean and decisive win really was the wrong call.
This is the reason WWE struggle to get top drawing heels because they build them up only to have them knocked down by the top babyfaces. The same thing happened with Rusev and then Kevin Owens.

Not seen Raw yet but I can guess the kind of thing that went down, as said it's a shame as they had done such good work building up Strowman and Braun had worked hard and has rapidly improved.

Totally shit segments. Cartoony, fake looking and a throw back to the era I thought we'd gotten past.

The worst was when the ambulance slipped from the hands of Strowman a little when you could see Reigns leaving the vehicle with the shadow on the floor.

When Reigns was on the stretcher being thrown in the air, the stretcher seemed to float in the air because it was so light as they obviously hadn't strapped on something of the weight of Roman to make it look a bit more realistic.

Great main event at Payback, match of the night.

The two men told a decent story in the ring, Reigns sold his previous beatdown and Strowman asserted his dominance as a monster heel. I'm glad they booked a clean finish to put Strowman over strong, it doesn't hurt Reigns to lose to a guy who's been booked as a monster for months, plus Roman was selling injuries and was not supposed to be close to 100 percent. I just hope the rubber match win also goes to Strowman, WWE have a killer heel in the making here and he needs to remain dominant.

What annoys me is the still negative reaction to Reigns, he has worked hard to become a very capable headlining talent and has now consistently held his end in several quality main event matches. The fans can't complain about a weak looking move-set and spotty ring skills or cheesy promo material like they could with Cena so really the hostile reception Roman gets is unjustified.

It's just the cool thing to do, much like it is with Cena. No matter how well these guys do it's deemed cool to hate on them. It's a sad state of affairs but it's common place with todays audience.

Fletch, he got booed more so for the fact the guy turned super saiyan in every match he's been in like Cena has the past 8 years. He did so in this match too, the fact he kicked out of the first power slam suggests he keeps looking strong and that the story they want to tell was Braun beat a less than 50% Roman with his finisher twice, as opposed to finishing him when reigns is at full health.
