You'd only need the big four for both rosters to be there and Survivor Series can be Raw vs Smackdown.

You make a good point about Survivor Series, would make the event relevant again with a annual Raw vs Smackdown elimination match and would also be a double-brand event, WWE should maybe pick several events to be double-branded, obviously Wrestlemania, Summerslam, the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series, but maybe add a couple more, I would say Money in the Bank and add a new Draft PPV.

Wrestlemania and perhaps Summerslam could feature inter-brand matches where a couple of rivalries develop between talent on different shows.

The brand extension back in the day was terrible. I have no desire whatsoever to see Raw vs Smackdown era to return.

That said we already have a brand extension with the main roster and NXT.

Moreover everyone knows the product is better on NXT, especially the takeover events.

If you were to go back, then it needs to be Vince vs Triple H.NXT needs to be expanded to 2 hours, the women brought back to NXT, and all the NXT vets that were so popular brought back as well.

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman can stay on the main roster. Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt, Harper, Rowan, Big E. Xavier Woods, Neville, Owens, Bo Dallas, Johnny Curtis, Leo Kruger can come back to NXT.

Most important is that Paige, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks go back to NXT. In return the main roster can have Dana Brooke.

NXT can be booked to lose every match ever against the main roster just like it is now.

Quote Here are the latest details on WWE apparently bringing back the brand split to TV. As previously reported, there has recently been talk in the company about bringing back the brand extension in some form or another.

Also read: Roman Reigns Says He Thinks The Brand Split Should Return, Talks SmackDown On The USA Network

According to reports, WWE has been having rumblings about giving another shot to the brand split for the last several weeks. It’s unknown how close WWE is to pulling the trigger on another brand split, but so far there has been some discussion over another brand split between Raw and Smackdown.

With Shane McMahon facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 and that matches stipulations, that does seem to suggest a return to the brand split with Shane McMahon in control of RAW, with The Authority controlling SmackDown.

It's been rumoured for a while, I think most expect one brand to become more of a NXT influenced show with high quality wrestling featuring the former Indy standout talent and younger NXT graduates, while the other brand will be the more superstar heavy storyline driven brand.

There are advantages and disadvantages, pros would be more tv time for talent currently lost in the shuffle as well as like I mentioned above the chance to cater to more fans by having a different style on each brand, also it makes the big four PPV events more special with inter-brand matches or even with it just being a dual branded show. Another consideration is that a brand split may ease the schedule for talent.

Cons are that with less depth to the talent roster on each brand you tend to see the same matches over and over and the shows start to feel repetitive, also some of the single branded PPV events were pretty horrible.

I think it's worth another shot though what with the enormous injury list this past year and also the amount of NXT talent in need of more mainstream tv exposure.

I don't think depth is a problem. I think this is how you promote wrestlers you never see anymore.

I think with a brand extension you get to see Damien Sandow get a renewed push. I think you get to see The Ascension get a chance to become what they were in NXT; the greatest tag team NXT has ever had. I think you get to see Neville on the mic. I think you get to see Dolph Ziggler as a top guy, Owens as a top guy, and so many others as well will get a chance to get the exposure you don't get to see currently.

There is more than enough depth to get this going, especially from the NXT guys coming up.

I'm all for the brand extension now. 5 years ago, definitely not, but at this point the depth has been built with more than enough young and promising guys and guys new to the WWE that have been around elsewhere that fresh stories and feuds are everywhere just waiting in a ever growing and already massive backlog.

I don't watch NXT because there is enough wrestling in the big shows. So that roster being decimated by call ups wouldn't bother me one bit.

They should never have got rid of the draft because it kept more guys busy, less guys over exposed and people got injured alot less because they were more rested.

I'm all for it and hope it's more than just a rumour.

It was bad back in its final days. It was the right call to end it then. Now, NXT as it's own brand is not really something I agree with. I am fine with a decline in overall quality in NXT if it means that quality is added to the bigger shows.

I think NXT being so good it is better than Raw is a good problem, but a problem none the less. I'm happy that thus far this year for as good as NXT has been getting again, Raw has been better, because ultimately I want Raw to be the better show.

Now, Smackdown has the opportunity to get back in the race and I think a raiding of NXTs talent pool, and a smattering of a talent currently on Raw and those not currently in regular rotation ought to make a fine brand that a good booker could make competitive.

Bayley, Emma, Balor, Zayn, Joe, American Alpha, and SAWFT do not belong in NXT anymore. With a mouthpiece, Asuka could be by far my favorite star of the bunch. Shit she could be a Paul Heyman girl. She's got the aura, personality, and inring ability to pull it off. Her ONLY problem holding her back is that she can't speak fluent English. Heyman solves that problem and he doesn't need to make HER a star, she already is one.

Those guys all by themselves trump the entire fulltime roster on Raw in 2010, when you remove the guys that had been wrestling in the wwe for more than 10 years.

Towards the end the brand extension was awful, like I said it was created initially to provide equal tv time for top stars like Austin, The Rock, Hogan and Triple H, but by the end most of these stars had left and the mid-card didn't have enough depth to run two brands successfully. Once WWECW was thrown in to the mix it was ridiculous the rosters were more depleted than ever and WWE eventually relaxed the rules allowing talent to regularly cross over before the split was phased out entirely and I think most were glad when this happened.

Now it's the opposite, WWE has a plethora of talent in the middle of the card but very few true headliners. In this situation a split would allow more exposure for the upper mid-careers to allow them to grow in to main-eventers.

I wouldn't mind seeing the NXT roster stripped to achieve this, NXT is often the best product in WWE but it shouldn't be like this, I want Raw to be the best product and the last couple of years have seen more of a NXT influence on the main roster, I expect this to continue.

Would be interesting to see what happens with the titles - one world belt that can be defended on both brands or will they bring back two World titles? Same situation for the Divas and tag belts. I would expect the US and Intercontinental titles to go to one per brand again.

The women would benefit from this the most, as a new women's belt would be quite a boon for them, and it's the belt that needs splitting the most.

TBH though I'd be fine with all the other belts remaining as is, including the world title. The two brands can compete for the world title, and Raw and Smackdown can have the IC and US titles exclusively. Tag... meh, they'd have to have a worthwhile tag division before I really cared. Basically there's only about 4 teams worth a damn and that doesn't make a division.

Yeah the tag scene is currently carried by New Day and the Usos, the Dudleys I think are set to split with a push for Bubba in singles, the Ascension are not worth two shits on the main roster, Lucha Dragons are set for splitsville in the future surely with Kalisto a singles champ.

However a brand split could see a renewed push for the Ascension, call ups for SAWFT, American Alpha and the Vauldevilains, and maybe Sheamus and Barrett become a regular team.

For me the ladies only need one title, I've no desire to see a second rate women's league on one of the brands, they've just got it to a decent standard so don't mess with it.

The Bella's have been championing a women's tag title for years now. Perhaps that could get added?
