WWE was at its best when the orginal draft happened both shows felt fresh and when it came to Mania with inter brand matches it was great. It was a shock to see Shawn Micheals or Kurt Angle appear on the other persons show.

Its about time but I'm glad they finally saw the light

I wonder, what if WWE actually made there PPV's brand shows, if it could work. I know an all-ECW PPV didnt work, but if WWE have say Raw have 4 PPV's, Smackdown has 4, ECW shares with those two brands then maybe it could work, because really I think for WWE to seperate there brands again would be way better than making all there PPV's co-jointed, the only 4 that shouldn't be co-jointed are the big 4 (Rumble, Wrestlemania, Survivor Series and Summerslam).

Actually, I would keep the inter brand ppv´s but really stick to the brands this time, during day to day operations I mean. Maybe have one superstar from each brand selected who represents their brand in an interbrand triple threat match to determine brand superiority or sthn like that, you know bragging rights. Other than that, each brand has its own matches, maybe except for WM, which should really be special, and the Rumble Match itself.

They did this before and the buy rates dropped and the quality of PPV's suffered. Trouble is it only takes a few ill timed injuries and its difficult to fill out a PPV with enough matches that people actually want to see using talent from only one brand.

The one ECW PPV was one of the worst PPV's in history but this was largely due to Vince completely re-writing Paul Heymans original booking plans for the show, Heymans ideas would have actually made for a decent PPV.

I think the inter-brand shows are the way forward but they need to stop using the same wrestlers on PPV, give some fresh faces a chance.

As for the brands i really hope they go the extra mile to keep them seperate this time, that way when you get interaction on PPV between wrestlers on different brands it seems more special and when you get inter-brand matches at Wrestlemania and inter-brand conflict at the Royal Rumble it has a real dream match feel to it.

yeah, that very last idea was what I was going to say.  Keep RAW with RAW, SD with SD and ECW with ECW so that when they have like a backstage segment or something involving these people, not right away but when something like the Royal Rumble comes up, the commentators can refer back to when so and so had a brief backstage meeting at a certain PPV--remember how that went? It makes stuff like that more special.

The Edge and Christian thing from Backlash this year is a great example of this.  Don't do anything about it yet but bring it up at like Survivor Series or at the Rumble next year.

I said yes, I think the Brand Extension should stay. Most of the time, we get to see new talent(even though the main events are dominated by the same friggin' guys). If they were all on the same shows, you'd never see guys like Kofi Kingston, Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, etc. All these young guys would be pushed to the backburner. With the Brand Extension, we get to see these young guys, even if they're not given the best matches and storylines.

Probably already a thread on this somewhere but the search engine isnt working properly on my pc today so.....

Source: Ewrestlingnews.com - - Triple H has announced that "for the foreseeable future," stars from SmackDown! will be appearing on RAW every week.

There was talk of this several weeks ago, since the company has been unhappy with how SmackDown! house shows have been drawing. The belief is that talent would be in a better position to draw if they were seen on Monday's TV.

As I said in the Raw thread this is something WWE should have done ages ago. The lack of depth in the two brand rosters has made for stale and repetetive programming the past few years, making talent exclusive to both brands or even if this rule only applies to Raw, it will help to freshen things up and create loads of new possible matches and scenarios.

I also wonder if longterm this will lead to WWE unifying the two World titles.

they should have two shows with all the talent on both of them tbh and they should unify the world titles. they can have the US, intercontinental and cruiserweight titles for lesser straps and the World heavyweight title should be the one kept because the WWE title is a joke and the old WCW title has been around too long to be done away with.

Its about fucking time they did this. It needed to happen as far back as Spring 2004 when Brock Lesnar left wwe all of a sudden and the Smackdown Brand's main players were Eddie, JBL and an occasional appearance by Taker
