Another dodgy decision that we've come to expect from Las Vegas judges.

I wouldn't bother with a third match though as I aren't a fan of rematches in the first place, nevermind trilogys.

Plus if Golovkin finally won Alvarez would want a 4th fight and that would just be ridiculous.

People are complaining but alot of that is based on the wide scorecard from the first fight staying in peoples mind.

Anyone who understands boxing could see how close the fight was and that it could have EASILY gone either way.

For me, it was the correct decision - on the night i had GGG 1 ahead (but that was literally throw of the dice on alot of close rounds) but having watched it again - Canelo landed the more flashy punches (and this was backed up in the total and % of power punches thrown and landed) and he had GGG on the back foot for 85% of the fight.

He should really be the GOAT because he should have waited a few years to fight Floyd. He's still only 28 and bearing in mind GGG is mid to late 30s , Canelo could easily have another 10 years at the top and may well go on to become the GOAT

I do think to finally stop all the wining and complaining, they need to have the 3rd and final fight at a location other than Las Vegas.

No chance he becomes GOAT mate, he's a big kid and unfortunately has to fight in very unfashionable divisions from 154 upwards, the lack of competition there will ensure that he won't be remembered greatly.

Charlo bros, Jacobs, Herd etc are decent fighters but not a murderers row like welterweight and super-middle historically are.

TL;DR - Canelo is fun to watch but not blessed to have great rivals.

Anthony Joshua continues on his way to becoming the greatest boxer ever.

Not even the greats like Ali, Tyson, Fraser, Lewis etc had achieved anywhere near as much after just 22 fights. All the world title fights, massive stadium crowds in multiple countries and ending the career of the guy who dominated the division.

Wilder can't run forever. He needs to realise Joshua deserves more money as he's the draw, the number one guy and has more belts. They have four belts between them so anything more than 25% of the purse and Wilder can't complain.

Ali had beat Cooper, and Liston twice at that landmark. I mean that's way better than anything Joshua has done.

Frasier still TKO'd Chuvalo who has the best chin of all time.A better win than a washed Klitschko.

Tyson and Lewis were can crushers but fought a murderers row later in career, Joshua is in the weakest heavyweight div ever so no chance he even breaks top 5 heavyweights of all time let alone boxers.

Sometimes opinions can be wrong mate

Joshua barely had a amateur career and is putting guys on their ass nearly every fight.

Fury is being silly saying AJ is avoiding him, when he brings nothing to the table.

Fury doesn't have a title, hasn't had a proper fight in years and if he beats Wilder he still can't face Joshua because Wilder has so little faith in himself he's making sure he gets a automatic rematch.

I would look for something like this over the next year.......

Winter 2018: Wilder vs Fury. Wilder wins so no rematch has to happen.

April 2019: Joshua vs Wilder to crown an undisputed champion. Whyte vs Fury on the undercard.

Summer 2019: Joshua defends every title against winner of Whyte/Fury. I would hope it's Fury because I aren't a rematch fan.

Winter 2019: Nice easy mandatory challenger to keep the governing bodies happy, like him being forced to fight Povetkin.
