Yeah as I've said I think he's a solid bet for a Money in the Bank win this year. Switching up his look and name and getting back to his heel persona - a role he's always been much more comfortable in - are all moves in the right direction to get Roode established as at least a upper mid-card heel, maybe even a top guy, he's got the talent to be in the main events.

Roode proved in TNA and even more so in NXT that he's a big star and can hang with the top talent. I really hope they go all the way with his push he deserves it. From what I understand he's a compete professional and 100% commited and passionate about the business too, the kind of guy WWE want headlining.

Well he lost a money in the bank qualifier this week to Ricochet, he lost clean which says to me there are no real plans to push Robert Roode on Raw, I think he will be used in the mid-card to put talent over.

It's disappointing as I'm a big fan of Roode especially his heel work and I think he could main event in WWE, but at 41 years old maybe he's seen as too old to invest any serious time in and they just want him around because he's a good hand and can enhance the real stars in the ring.

Yeah looks as though Roode will be used for his experience now and help put over some of the younger talent

Start with a positive an that is that he is finally back after far too long missed from the screen.

I wish his return didn't have him job out though even if it was to the champion in the main event.

He's such a talent but creative very rarely book him as he should be.

I would argue that he's used exactly as he should be.

Bobby Roode is a decent talent I've always liked him, I enjoyed his run in TNA a lot and his work in NXT was also very good. But what has become very apparent about Roode in WWE is there is nothing about him that really stands out.

He's a great hand in the ring, solid worker, dependable and safe, but you would probably struggle to name a real five star singles match that Roode has had, like I say he's a great hand who can be relied upon to always have a good match but I'm not sure he's able to take his ring work to the next level to make people really take notice, WWE has lots of talent who can work good matches many of them younger than Roode.

His glorious character really stood out in NXT but that's because NXT doesn't have a plethora of big characters and Roode was able to look like a big fish in a small pond, the main roster however is filled with larger than life characters.

I think Roode is probably very content in his role as someone who is seen as a good hand who can be used to enhance the top guys and can be an asset to the mid-card where he can compete for second tier titles or the tag belts. James Storm is currently a free agent and there is talk of interest from WWE, perhaps Beer Money could reunite on Raw or Smackdown? Either way I think Roode is right about where he belongs in WWE at this stage of his career.

Roodes best days were when he was The It Factor in TNA.

He was great in NXT but WWE havent obviously found anything for him to do up to this point and hence he has been booked in what i would call meh storylines.

I think he is now of the age and experience where he will be used to put people over more so than not

I do think the Glorious thing works better when Roode is full blown cocky heel and not sort of Zigglers Sdekick

Agree on that, Roode as the It Factor in TNA was the best thing in wrestling for a while, I saw TNA Impact live at Wembley arena nearly 10 years ago now, this was when Roode was the top heel and had a alliance with Bully Ray, it was a hot crowd at Wembley around 5'000 in attendance and I remember thinking at the time while watching Roode this guy is a star and should be in WWE.

He definitely is best when portrayed as a solo act and I loved his work as the Glorious one in NXT, they went wrong by rushing him to the main roster as a babyface, this was a typical Vince error who felt Roode's catchy theme music meant he had to be used as a face, if Vince had paid any attention to Roode's work in TNA and NXT he would know that he always did his best work as a heel. When they eventually flipped the script the damage had been done and it felt too little too late.

I think now he has been defined down as a mid-card act and given that he's in his forties and probably doesn't have too long left as somebody who wants to be full-time in the business the best way to use him is as a high level enhancement guy or in a tag-team.
