Roode is just so boring in this current role - i know i keep saying it but its becoming more and more apparent every week.

He loses too much too for my liking

Quote Bobby Roode is backstage getting ready for his match tonight. He does a brief interview with Renee Young, where Roode says he thrives in the spotlight and is excited to climb the Money In The Bank ladder, and then go on to win the Universal Title. Roode isn't as happy talking about his match against Strowman tonight, and he says he has never seen a competitor like Strowman. Roode says his goal tonight is just to survive.

- Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Roode: The opening bell sounds and they immediately go at it. Strowman starts off strong, but Roode hits a shot to the knee that stuns Strowman. Strowman briefly sells a knee injury, but then goes right back to work on Roode and drops him. Strowman suplexes Roode down and then poses for the crowd. Roode fights back with a kick and then Strowman misses a shot in the corner and crashes into the ring post. Roode rolls outside and pulls a ladder out from under the ring. Strowman and Roode fight around ringside, and Strowman crushes the ladder in half with his hands. Roode is shocked and he backs away from Strowman. Strowman chases Roode back in the ring and hits the running powerslam for the three count after a competitive match.

Winner: Braun Strowman

- Strowman admires his handiwork and then heads backstage.

If only E would let him do his IT Factor gimmick instead of not wanting their guy to do something from his past elsewhere.

He could be my MITB winner pick as Brock needs fresh babyface challengers.

The alternative is he can wait until someone else beats Lesnar, and then cash in heelishly and let the power go to his head for his turn.

I have to admit the idea of Bobby Roode winning Money in the Bank is a very enticing one. I would hope most people would at least see it as a very close second to Braun Strowman winning. If neither of them are going to win it, I hope The Miz does.

It would have been better than him being booked as never standing a chance. The match at MITB didn't have one moment where you thought he was going to do it.

Quote Bobby Roode vs. Curt Hawkins: Roode's ribs are taped up, selling the effects of his ladder match last night. The opening bell sounds and Hawkins starts off strong, but Roode quickly shuts him down with a spinebuster. Roode follows up with the Glorious DDT for the three count after a short match.

Winner: Bobby Roode

- Roode celebrates in the ring as we go to commercial.

He's a master of his craft, so if he's at all pissed off with how he's booked, it would be justified.

In the space of 24 hours you go from being two wins away from the main champion of the brand, to facing someone in a squash who's not won for years.

How cool would it be to see James Storm come to SS and cost Roode the match. Roode has really become very good at his craft and he too needs a good feud. Roode has a great entrance and good ring skills but if you don’t have someone good to work with , it ain’t worth much.

Quote Bobby Roode vs. Konnor: Gable and Viktor are at ringside for this one. The opening bell sounds and Konnor starts off strong, overpowering Roode in the opening moments. Roode fights back with kicks and then he hits the blockbuster off the middle rope. Viktor looks to get involved, but Gable takes him down. The distraction leads to Konnor hitting a version of he Dominator for the three count.

Winner: Konnor

- The Ascension celebrates as Roode recovers and Gable watches from ringside.

Such a talented guy now having to job in a couple of minutes to one half of a jobber tag team, how's he fallen so low Cry

He's got to have pissed off the wrong people backstage. There can be no other explaination for him being wasted so badly.

I don't think his TNA pass is an issue as so many guys that worked there are perfectly fine.

I'm just hoping they're using him as an enhancement talent until they finally realize what a gem they have in him as a heel.

Either that or Vince just sees him as Triple H's mini me.

So he picked up a clean win on Raw this week over Ricochet and is now using the name Robert Roode rather than Bobby Roode, I have no problem with that as it was his original name in TNA before it just kind of morphed into Bobby and Robert does sound more heelish which fits his arrogant persona.

He was also sporting a old school pornstar moustache rather than his usual full beard and now bares a very strong likeness to Rick Rude.

I like Roode and I hope this is all the start of a big push for him, he has the talent to main event in WWE and maybe hes even a good outside bet for this years Money in the Bank briefcase.

He proved to me in NXT (I never watched him in TNA) that he is a fantastic heel, and one of the most entertaining guys WWE has under contract. Strap a rocket to this guy's back, make him the Money in the Bank winner and have him hold it until next year's MitB, and it'll be... WONDERFUL! ;)

Seriously though, if he held the MitB briefcase, teased it all year long, teased it at WrestleMania, and then teased it at the Raw after Mania, but didn't cash in, he'd be in uncharted waters. If at that point they started a storyline where if he didn't cash in before the next MitB PPV, the contract was voided, the WWE/Universal champion could start taunting him to cash in, until the go-home show of MitB he finally cashes in and wins, he then successfully defends his title at MitB the next Sunday, and then loses to the new MitB contract holder who cashes in that same night.

It would be an entertaining storyline, with a fun finish, it gives him something cool to do all year long, and he gets to actually BE WWE/Universal Champion, which right now doesn't look like it's in the cards for him AT ALL.

Quote Robert Roode vs. Ricochet: Bobby Roode comes out as "Robert Roode" tonight, and he's rocking a new mustache. Graves says there is going to be a spike in pregnancies in Iowa tonight from women looking at Roode's mustache. The opening bell sounds and Roode starts off strong. Roode drops Ricochet with some knees to the body. Ricochet comes back with a hurricanrana and a dropkick. They fight out to the apron and Ricochet dumps Roode outside. Ricochet then runs up the turnbuckle and flips off of it down onto Roode at ringside. Back in the ring, Ricochet goes up top, but Roode knocks him down and pummels on him. Roode takes control of the match now and keeps Ricochet grounded. Roode connects with several knee strikes and Ricochet is down. Ricochet starts fighting back and hits a standing shooting star press for a two count. Roode comes back with a slam for a two count of his own. Ricochet fights back and looks for a splash off the top, but Roode rolls out of the way and then slams Ricochet into the corner hard. Roode follows up with the Glorious DDT for the three count.

Winner: Robert Roode

Delighted that we are finally going to see the solo heel character he played brilliantly in TNA.

Loved the Rick Rude look with the 1970s porn star tache and the negative words about Gable to pretty much blame him for how poor they were as a team.

I can see a title run for him no later than Summerslam and maybe even a short top tier fued with Rollins at some point.
