The guy doesn't need a big career defining win like this at this point of his career. We should have probably guessed the guy E have come nearest with replacing Andre with would get the win in this match before he retired. It's also probably a pat on the back for the amount of jobs he does these days to have a rare moment to shine. |

Fixed. I agree. I definitely think he deserved this one. Just this one time. Put yourself in his shoes. People like to hate on him but he's been old reliable for 16 years in the WWE, and he deserves a bone thrown his way once in a while otherwise WTF would you continue to stay employed? No one wants to job all the time, they want something interesting to do in their career and a feather in their hat from time to time. I totally get not wanting to see him win, I know I didn't, but at the same time, dude the guy totally deserves it and it'd be a crying shame that at least once he didn't win this match. Now that he has, I hope never to see him win again. I'm tolerant of one win, any more would be a very tough sell no matter how open minded I try to be.

He's said in an interview it's his last Wrestlemania. Maybe he's annoyed management didn't get him the match with Shaq?
I'm glad he's retiring because he's really part time now but doesn't have the name value to pull that off like other part timers do. His body must hurt so much every single day from nearly 30 years in the business and his genetics, so he's earned the right to rest. Headliner for HOF next year wouldn't be out of the question, more E movies and some work at the performance center. I'm sure he will still be employed by E away from the ring.
