So Big Cass is back from his injury and has been placed on Smackdown, resuming his solo career after the split with Enzo, where he has run into Daniel Bryan. I did like his interactions with Miz last week on Miz TV where he just badmouthed Bryan and Miz just stood there in agreement even though Cass and Miz butten heads for some of the segment.

The seg on Miz TV gave Cass a chance to showcase his new look (a full suit and a nice watch as if he's Ric Flair from 1985.) I think the reason for the new look is to separate him from Enzo as much as possible. I would like Enzo to be back one day when the (unproven) shit with him clears; but as for now Cass is on his own and thus it appears they are giving him his own identity.

I have always liked giants and big men but to me Cass is so so in the ring. But I know that WWE has always taken big men seriously. But I will say that Cass is competent on the mic, as proven before.

Also, I note the irony of Cass and Carmella finally being on the same show and thus travelling team together now that they are split up when that was a problem before of not seeing each other often when they were together, according to Total Divas.

He's decent on the mic and obviously his size will always be a plus point in WWE, not sure about his new heel character and this whole angle with mocking the smaller guys though, I personally thought the best move may have been to have Cass do the babyface SAWFT gimmick on his own, the gimmick was always super-over but I guess they can go that route if he flops as a heel.

Quote Big Cass comes out next, and Corey Graves says Cass wasn't scheduled to come out right now. Cass steps in the ring and gets on the mic. Cass talks about being from New York, and that makes him better than people from other cities. Cass trashes Daniel Bryan, and says he's too small to be a WWE Superstar, just like all the fans. Cass says his match with Bryan at Backlash won't be a five-star match, it'll be a five-second match. Cass says he'll face Bryan tonight if he'll come out. This queues the music, and out comes a dwarf dressed as Daniel Bryan, doing the "yes" chant. Cass says Bryan looks taller tonight, and continues cracking jokes. Cass goes to leave, but then he turns around and boots little Daniel Bryan down. Some referees come in the ring and tell Cass to leave, and fans boo as Cass heads to the back.

I thought they were chanting something about Enzo at Test Lite, but it was we don't give a fuck in French LOL

Heels aren't suppose to be liked, but this isn't the way management will want to get him over.

It was a lame segment of childish, seen before many times, toilet humour and he did the best with what he was given to work with (which wasn't much).

I completely disagree. This is exactly how management will want to get him over. Cass has a real talent for garnering immense heat without prolonged exposure. His previous program was against Enzo Amore and the Big Show and he was one of the most hated men in the company.

Jinder Mahal was made by F off heat. Now he's just a made man. Cass could easily be the same.

I thought it was quite funny

Its nothing more "childish" than what The Rock, Miz and Jericho have done over the years

Let's not forget how many times Triple H pulled this exact same stunt.

I haven't been a fan of his heel character at all I guess it didn't help that Enzo was his first feud and he was completely unlikeable so much so that I had to scratch my head at Big Show coming to his aid.

I don't see them making him do the old sawft routine as they want to distance themselves as much as possible from Enzo plus the gimmick would get old pretty quick along with the fact its simply not main event material.

I always think of Kurt Angle dressed as John Cena, and mini-Angle making Angle-Cena tap out and suck his thumb whenever I see segment like these. Didn't realize at the time that segment would help put Cena into the main event picture.

Cass is on his way. He's tall, he comfortable behind the mic, he's in good condition for the most part, he looks just like Edge, only taller. There's no way this guy isn't WWE champion within the next couple of years. The longer he's a heel the sooner the IWC accepts him as good and he becomes a top babyface.

In time he will find his place as a top babyface, having him work heel for a while is smart as it gives the fans a chance to grow to like him organically through his heel work then he can flip to babyface. Working heel allows a talent to be a bit more edgy and to get over quicker.

Cass has proved he’s natural and likeable in the face role with a good blend of tough guy and a comedic side, and obviously with his look and size WWE will be firmly behind him.
