Time will be the judge on Becky’s popularity, this discussion was more less about cheering for heels and not faces. Not necessarily about Becky.

Becky's popularity is skyrocketing people want her as champ and if I were WWE I'd pull that trigger soon and capitalise on her being Champ while she's still hot stuff.

I like Charlotte but she's already a 6 time champ in 3 years it's the same problem with Alexa bliss over on Raw too much of one person as champ and the fans are turned off by it, let Becky have a decent size reign before eventually having Asuka win the belt.

I personally can't wait for a prolonged Lynch vs Asuka feud. That said, it does look like we're going to get Lynch vs Rousey at Survivor Series, which is very exciting for me.

Rousey vs Lynch is my ladies dream match, Becky and Ronda are my two favourite female talents on the current roster and I think they could put together a great match. Becky with her tough workhorse ring style is a great compliment for Ronda with her MMA influenced power and submission style. It’s a match I’d be excited about and it’s not often I say that about a women’s match.

They don't help Becky by having her say shit like this on social media........

Quote Ahead of her SmackDown Live Women's Championship shot against Charlotte Flair at next Sunday's WWE Hell In A Cell 2018 pay-per-view, Becky Lynch has taken to social media to say "Screw You!" to her detractors. Lynch wrote the following in a new post on her Instagram page on Friday:

"When they said I couldn't be the face of the division, or be on PPVs or the front of a magazine. When they said I was destined to be good but not great"

People are behind her more than any other lady and she's suppose to pretend like she's had lots of critics.

People get behind that she's embraces her natural red hair, hasn't had surgery and isn't a gym freak wanting to be super toned like Charlotte.

Shes simply playing up to the heelish role adders - come on everyone can see that.

How many times does Miz go on about being under appreciated etc - its a common trait.

I get that but there are other ways to be heelish then looking stupid by chatting shit, that doesn't make sense and isn't true.

Quote WWE SmackDown Women's Title: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch: The opening bell sounds and they wrestle around the mat evenly until Becky gets up and shoulder-blocks Charlotte down. Charlotte grabs Becky and looks for the Figure Four, but Becky breaks free and looks for the Disarm Her. Charlotte breaks free too and they trade shoulder locks now. Charlotte begins to focus on Becky's left leg and beat on that left knee. Becky starts to fight back and looks to be targeting Charlotte's left shoulder now. They fight out to apron and trade shots to the face until Becky grabs Charlotte by the arm and slams her shoulder-first into the apron. Back in the ring Becky covers for a two count. Charlotte starts to fight back and she dodges an attack from Becky in the corner. Charlotte comes back with a big boot, and both women are down, with Charlotte still selling the shoulder. Charlotte misses a shot and Becky immediately looks for the Disarm Her. Charlotte reverses the submission attempt into a powerbomb for a two count. Becky recovers and looks for the Disarm Her, and this time she successfully locks it in. Charlotte struggles and finally reaches the bottom rope to break the hold. Both women slowly get to their feet and Charlotte fights back with some elbows to the face. Charlotte runs the ropes and looks for the spear, but Becky catches her in a roll-up for the three count.

Winner & new SmackDown Women's Champion: Becky Lynch

- After the match, Charlotte tries to shake Becky's hand, but Becky declines and walks off with her Women's Title.

Too short. It didn't have time to get going. It's not going to be remembered by fans long term.

Becky got a huge babyface pop from winning. The title change was greeted loudly by the live crowd.

I enjoyed the match, a decent technical wrestling contest, one of the better women’s matches I’ve seen this year.

Only thing I didn’t like was the finish, it just seemed to come out of nowhere and was really something Charlotte should have kicked out of, looked like they might have botched whatever the planned finishing sequence was.

They do seem to be softening some on her heel role... I wonder if it will continue? She is actually pretty good as a heel. I liked her as a heel in NXT. In fact I was worried about her being a Babyface when she was brought to the main roster, but she put those worries to bed quickly.

Actually, I would like to see Bayley and Becky working together as faces in a tag vs a heel Charlotte and Sasha. First WWE would have to figure out how to rekindle the baby Bayley magic she had in NXT. Might be as simple as having her work from underneath as an underdog and give her plenty of time to tell that story as she comes from behind by firing up after getting beat down for a long enough time. Sasha however is such a tremendous heel it just sucks not to see her in that role. Charlotte just isn't very likable imo. I can accept her as a babyface but only grudgingly. I guess that's how I NOW feel about Becky only in reverse.

Either way I would love to see some tag match action going with those four, even if it's Bayley and Becky as heels and Charlotte and Sasha as faces.

A lot of the ladies in WWE are currently in a role they are not naturally suited to.

Sasha Banks is a natural heel, she’s a horrible babyface.

Charlotte is passable as a face but much better as a heel, she doesn’t come across as likeable.

Nia Jax was a great monster heel but I think they’ve flipped her face due to her PR work for WWE.

Becky Lynch is a natural babyface, extremely likeable you just want to cheer her, that said she’s talented enough to make the heel turn work but a double turn would seem the logical move for Becky and Charlotte.

Asuka I can understand why she’s a face given her dominance in the ring but now they’ve humanised her with a few losses I think it could be time for her to turn heel. Like Nakamura I think she’ll be much more fun on the dark side.

Carmella thankfully has now been moved back to her comfort zone of a babyface valet/occasional wrestler.
