Just a curious question to all our basball fans on the forum.
Though I enjoy Mets vs Yankees, all other interleague play is pointless to me and Id rather them allocate games toward same league games, so I voted Yes Edited by Willy1225 - 21/May/2011 at 22:08 |

I love interleague play. Don't really see the point of abolishing it, tbh.
Nice as an AL fan to see my pitchers pick up the bat. |

I voted no. I can get into interleague play; and Willy if you can see a "point" in Mets vs Yankees (the battle of New York), then you can see meaning behind the other interleague rivalries developing.
The Red Sox vs Braves; the Braves used to be in Boston so it's a battle of former Boston teams. The Marlins vs Rays; the battle of Florida. The Cubs vs White Sox; the battle of Chicago. The Cardinals vs Royals; the battle of Missouri. The Brewers vs Twins; not just the battle of the upper midwest; but it's also Bud Selig's team vs the team he wanted to contract in 2001. The Rangers vs Astros; the battle of Texas. The Athletics vs Giants; the battle of the San Francisco Bay. The Angels vs Dodgers; the battle of greater Los Angeles. (Former rivalry) the Blue Jays vs Expos; the battle of Canada. The Tigers vs Diamondbacks; um... idk. ![]() I just wish interleague play would last longer, beyond the All Star break. And like Rob Franklin I like to see AL pitchers bat.

I'm beginning to change my opinion on this from eight years ago. I'm starting to dislike interleague play. The two leagues should be kept separate until the World Series. But yes I know it won't happen due to the money involved.
I'm becoming more of a traditionalist these days, especially with all the changes this new Commissioner is proposing, such as a pitch clock (absolute abomination to the sport) or a computer calling balls and strikes, or a three batter minimum for each pitcher. Bud Selig was an assfuck. But this guy Manfred takes the fucking cake. Can't explain how much I hate Manfred. |
