I would really like to see a lot more of Baron Corbin in the ring, I think he has huge potential, Dont get me wrong because i do like Big Cass but i personally think it would have been a better move to push Corbin especially for the fatal four way for the universal championship, He won the andre the giant battle royal trophy on his debut and has had a couple of good matches in between but now  it just seems as though they have pushed him to the side to concentrate on Big Cass

Moved it to the Smackdown section from Raw as that's the show he's on. He's pushed less as a similar guy to Cass probably because he's an heel.

I still can't take to him. He's just another generic big guy and creative have gave me zero reasons to care about him.

He shouldn't have won such a big match on debut when he wasn't deserving of it.

that is true he probably didnt deserve to win that particular match maybe a a fatal 4 way or something but i will be keen to keep an eye on him, its a shame he isnt on the same show as Big Cass because that would be a good match i think

Quote WWE did an injury angle at today’s SmackDown tapings to remove Baron Corbin from Team SmackDown at the November 20th Survivor Series pay-per-view. He’s being replaced by SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon.

He was filmed to look interesting during the show with how he spoke to Shane and then for some silly reason they film a fake injury segment.

That big four card spot could have elevated him and now strangley he's not got it.

Maybe it comes out that he's legit hurt and that dirt sheets are wrong, buf it that's the case they wouldn't have had him attacked like he was once he was selling the leg.

Even though he lost clean to Cena a couple of weeks back its good for him to be mixing it up with the top talent, proves management have big plans for him and have confidence in his abilities.

I know Corbin has his haters but I've always liked him, I would have liked to have seen him given a American Bad Ass type biker gimmick though.

I reckon he will have held a mid-level title before the year is out, he possibly may even be challenging for World belt by then.

  • bigdan316 Asks: J.R, After last night's edition of Talking Smack I truly consider Baron Corbin to be a future broadcasting star his natural heel ability makes him a natural antagonistic color commentator
    J.R.'s Answer:

Corboin is a bright and talented guy. He has a unlimited upside if he and the system continue to evolve him.

Good idea because I think his wrestling and gimmick are both average/OK but his mic skills are a level above as i'd call them good.

He wasn't a natural heel on Talking Smack though as he came across as a babyface being polite to Shane Mcmahon.

Even when he was telling us he would win the Rumble, go onto Wrestlemania, become champion etc he sounded more like a confident babyface than an arrogant heel.

I'm really enjoying the slow burner build for Corbin. I've always liked him since his NXT days and always thought he had a massive upside. WWE need to play it right with him though as he does also have the potential to go wrong.

However he's been holding his own in terms of performances and promos and has really excelled on Talking Smack which has helped develop his character.

I'm trying to connect with Baron Corbin who I do feel has a marketable upside. I need to see more of Corbin in the ring and if he can evolve to the level that WWE has developed Braun Strowman, then Corbin will solidly be on the main event path sooner than later. Corbin vignettes would help his cause.

Still struggling to care about him as he just seems like enhancement talent to me.

I keep hearing those in the business who have been around years talking him up. Taz on his daily show would probably bum him if he could. I want to see what others see.

When he talks on Talking Smack he doesn't come across as heelish but he comes across better as he's confident in his ability and his persona is inteligent and calculating. This doesn't come off the same on actual Smackdown.

Vignettes and squash matches ala Strowman could be a good thing for Corbin. However I do stand by the fact that if you give him a decent IC title run and build him up slow and properly he'll be ready for a main even match by the end of the year.
