With the news that Kurt Angle is to take another sabaticle from wrestling due to injury it has me questioning the whole point of moving him to ECW. Angle is clearly on borrowed time with his wrestling career, he dosnt really fit the ECW style or attitude, he walked out of ECW in disgust back in the 90s so its not like hes a fan either, it really makes no sense having him there and apparently Angle himself is unhappy but is just being a professional and getting on with his job. If Angle only has a few more matches left in him he should be on Raw or S/D as their is still many matches and possible feuds for him, up and coming stars like Lashley, Ken Kennedy, Carlito and Chris Masters would all benefit hugely from wrestling Angle and what about matches with HHH, HBK, Taker, Edge etc, i know some of these have been done before but im sure noone would object to seeing them again. Besides ECW needs to build a new talent roster of its own not just steel established WWE names who have no connection with ECW.

I totally agree with this point!
Why not make new guys such as Test, Mordecai as well as the old guys the sandman dreamer and sabu the stars instead of using wwe guys e.g angle and big show!

HHH, HBK, Taker, and Edge have all been done before. Get the facts straight.

I don't really understand what this new ECW move has done for Angle, but what it's done for ECW is make it look more like WWE. Angle's a great star, and his two main events with RVD were impressive, but nobody can tell me that they were so much better than they would've been if they were under the trademark WWE banner.

I did actually note in my post that Angle had wrestled many of those guys before but i dont think anyone would object to seeing them again.
I do agree with what you said though, fact is Angle/RVD would be an awesome match under any banner but as talented as Angle is he just dosnt have an ECW look or style about him, everytime you see him on ECW he just reminds you that this is very much a WWE brand. It makes far more sense to build new ECW stars out of the likes of Test, Kevin Fertig and any other worthy talent who hasn't been a WWE main eventer for years.  If i was Vince i would move up some OVW talent and raid the indies as well as TNA for new ECW stars. For ECW to succeed it needs to have a completely seperate identity from Raw and S/D, at the moment it just seems like low budget WWE tv.

Raiding TNA? ECW succeeding? A completely separate identity from Raw and Smackdown? Yeah, I can see that happening with Mr. McMahon having creative control over ECW programs.

The only success this new ECW has had whatsoever is in giving RVD his push and finally having Cena work better in his matches. I fail to see the image of extreme in any of this. I think making ECW look like low budget WWE TV was Vince's whole entire intention.

Apart from the first show ive enjoyed the new ECW brand so far, sure its not perfect but then nothing is, not Raw, Smackdown or TNA. ECW always did look low budget, that was the image of the show, it went with the whole hardcore rules and unruley fans etc. I hear Angle may be headed back to S/D following his suspension, hopefully as a heel as he is far more effective that way and has feuds with Batista and Lashley awaiting. I would move Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, the Pitbulls, Super Crazy and Psicosis, Shannon Moore to ECW and look to rehire Tajiri, Masato Tanaka and Mike Awesome as well as Terry Funk and Lance Storm for part time appearances, Mick Foley could appear as well since WWE are not doingmuch with him at present, a feud between Sabu and Foley or Foley and Sandman would be awesome. Far as a TNA raid goes it is unlikely as most TNA talent are under longterm contracts but these contracts have to expire and im sure Vince would be interested in the services of AJ Styles, Abyss, Samoa Joe, Monty Brown, Ron Killings, Jeff Hardy, Christopher Daniels, Ryno and AMW to name a few. Another idea for ECW would be to create a seperate divison like TNA's X-Division for the smaller wrestlers to compete in, guys like Super Crazy, Tajiri, Kid Kash, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero and Mysterio would thrive in that envionment.

The TNA raid thing isn't just highly unlikely. It's completely impossible. With that speech from Rhyno I just heard on Impact, which included actually legitimately using the names "Vince McMahon" and "ECW", as well as throwing out a certain belt he had in his cellar for five years (or a replica of it or something), I don't believe anyone is going away to ECW from TNA.

Read the good piece on him in this months Powerslam. Now he had 14 months ago only 30% feeling in one arm. And 50% in the other and tingling in his fingers. So imagine how much worse he is now. He is that bad that for the first time he's been forced off the road for his own safety by management. Doing the Angle Invitational was a good way for fans to see him without him doing much. It's unrealistic him being in ECW the way he talks about them in his autobiography. He needs to be put back on Smackdown who need him asap.

Fair point but Angle still dosnt fit in with the ECW brand and it despite this being a different ECW to the original fact is its still a ECW of sorts, a company Angle walked out of on the first day and openly criticised for years. The main reason i would move Angle back to the full WWE roster would be for 2 main reasons though: 1. He clearly only has a limited amount of time left before he has to retire from actively competing due to his injuries and therefore i would make the most of him, make the dream matches with WWE talent now before its to late. 2. The WWE envionment would protect his broken down body, in ECW he would need to wrestle almost every week, in WWE he can cut promos and just wrestle the odd televised match and on PPV's.
