Because of the nature of todays crowds, they would get cheered and NXT chants anyways.

Vega will also get cheered at first .

This is NOT going to bomb.

I dont think WWE are stupid enough to think all of their Heels will be booed, infact its pretty rare for that to happen unless there is actually a genuine hatred due to lack of wrestling ability.

Over time though, Vega will help establish him as a top Heel but the thing is - like Ziggler was back in the day - his in ring work is so good, his manager wont be able to stop the cheers and WWE will just need to embrace it

Quote Andrade “Cien” Almas (w/Zelina Vega) vs. Jake Constantino. No televised entrance for the enhancement wrestler. The crowd chanted “si” before Almas hit double knees in the corner. He followed up with his hammerlock DDT for the win…

Andrade Almas defeated Jake Constantino in 1:20.

After the match, Vega delivered a promo while Almas stood by. She said she expected more from Smackdown. She mocked the competition provided and said they are there to take over…

This was pointless. His big debut that's been hyped for weeks and you don't even get a couple of minutes, against a nobody.

They could have used a guy from the UK division to put him over in five minutes.

He will look a better wrestler winning tougher contests, instead of beating up a jobber.

EL IDOLO

As soon as that hit, you could hear the reaction from the crowd was a good one - then he got a loud cheer when he appeared

Will take Vega 5 mins to get them over as heels but because hes so good - hell be super popular with fans

Cant wait to see who they give him as his first proper main roster feud

That's the problem he's going to be another heel getting babyface reactions. He probably needs Berties old gimmick of Million Dollar Man of Mexico to rub in how much well off he is compared to the crowd.

Quote We go to a pre-taped promo from Zelina Vega, who talks up Andrade "Cien" Almas. She says he isn't getting his rightful opportunities, and he is the future of SmackDown Live. She says if he does't get what he deserves, he'll have to take it.

- There's a new CarMax commercial with The Fashion Police - Tyler Breeze and Fandango.

- Andrade Almas vs. Local enhancement talent: Zelina Vega is at ringside for this one. Almas starts off with kicks and chops, then he whips him into the corner for more punishment. Almas stomps a mud hole in the jobber, but the jobber fights back with some elbows to the face. Almas fakes going for a kick and hits a spinning back elbow to the face of the jobber. Almas sits him down in the corner and hits the running knees to the face. The jobber rolls over, and Almas hits the running double knee strike to the back of the head now. Almas follows up with the hammer lock DDT.

Winner: Andrade Almas

- Zelina comes in the ring and raises Almas' hand after the match.

Another pointless match. He should have been kept away from jobber talent that's not even on the roster.

Zelina Vega looks a lot different with her clothes on LOL

Its the normal thing they do in WWE to get some talent established - they feed enhancement talent to them and then move onto lower card talent etc etc until they get to the level they want them to be at

Love Almas and Love Vega - these are going to be big on the main roster

This is the right move for Almas; he'll do very well out of this.

A heel has to give you a reason to boo them, but while a heel can rise quickly in the ranks of the company they won't become popular outside of the company until they turn face. This is just WWE keeping his alignment ambiguous like they did with Asuka and like they do with most debuts. Once he starts shifting T-shirts and getting interviews with Sam Roberts then they'll define him by which way they want (heel)

Quote According to a report by PWInsider, Andrade "Cien" Almas could be in line for a push in the coming weeks. Apparently, WWE officials were extremely impressed with his work last week in a match against AJ Styles.

About time because as someone who rarely watches NXT, I am still waiting to see the fuss about him.

Hopefully he will be a more reliable version of Alberto Del Rio, but so far I am left wondering why he's been called up.

All he's done so far is beat a low card jobber in a token Mexican storyline.

I’m there with you. It’s a rare occasion I watch NXT. So many have be called up with huge hype and now they are really nothing but jobbers. Cien, Elias, No Way Jose, Askusa, Tyler Breeze , The Ascention just to name a few started out as oh this is huge and then a small fizzle. Again I say when the pool is big and full of sharks , a tuna won’t last. As bad as I hate to say it KO has been more successful than most. Finn is there too but when you think of who’s been called up it’s a short list of those who have been good and used a lot.

Again, its good to see that they havent altered them too much from the NXT days.

I was catching up on some wrestling and caught his match with Bryan which was excellent. Would be great to see them have a lengthy PPV match at one of the big ones.

I also heard that Vinnie Mac is kinda high on these 2 so they must be doing something right

I just hope WWE resist their normal/usual temptations to break up the 2 and have almas go totally solo

Also, nearly bubbled my eyes out when watching Vegas interview with Renee when she talks about losing her father during 9/11 terror attacks - absolutely heart breaking
